this is THE song, this is it. i love it from 1986. i've heard a thousand times. and i cry every time when i saw/hear it at converts. every time. for me its the greatest song of all time.
Love your videos. LOVE DM! I have seen them 8 times. All over the country. First one in Pasadena on June 18, 1988! Yep, Rose Bowl show was the beginning! Seen them in LA, Chicago, NYC, London. They have been the soundtrack to my life. Those of us that love them, have been called the Black Swarm or Devotees. Not many bands around that are actually better live. They are.. every time!!! Nothing like a Depeche show. Nothing

One of my favourite Depeche Mode songs and a belter live. I would have gone for a different version. Either 101, SOFAD or Berlin. But still, it’s a great version and the crowd size is insane. For your own pleasure, listen to the Highland Mix. It’s the extended version of the song which is how this version starts. Just so anthemic. Imagine this hitting the charts at the same time as artists like Billy Ocean and Tina Turner. :-)
