    Really miss that jet! I was a weapons systems specialist on the D model at Cannon, NM, and the F model at RAF Lakenheath. We took them to Saudi Arabia during Desert Shield/Storm in 1990-'91. Was a great experience, and our Wing's release rate was damn near perfect.

    Crewed them from 90 to 91. Awesome jet when called upon. Maintenance nightmare 🤣

      Have to agree, really effective weapon system but the TF30 engine was prone to many serious problems. Lakenheath 1980/83

    I was at RAF Upper Heyford 89 -93 Crew Chief I was in incerlik turkey when shield broke out I crewed them at Cannon AFB crewed EF'S during the no fly zones and operation provide comfort also crewed F models as well

    Was the F15E a good replacement for the F111 or could nothing replace an F111 as the WSO says in this video?
