    This is so inspiring. I love bluebells but have never seen or thought of a way to get them on paper in a way that would work for me. Maybe i will try something like this. Thank you so much for the tutorial.

    what would be a good substitute for the green per? i dont have that one. Or how could i make the color would also work

      I Googled it and am told you can get a similar Hue from phthalo green and sepia... but I haven't tried it. ❤

      My to favorite green mixes are Phthalo Green + Burnt Sienna (or +Sepia) mix with Sepia will be almost the same as perylene green 💚

    I don’t know how she gets the outline lines so thin and crisp. Mine just bleed… Wonder what size brush she is using

      It comes with practice! I use mostly 6and 8 synthetic brushes by Søstrene Grene

    Pretty effect, but it looks more like fabric than nature. Like a nylon flower because the outline and the folded down parts are darker instead of lighter. In nature the flower would be lighter on the edges where the light catches and darker in the deeper parts and under the folds rather than on top of the turned down edges.

      I get what you mean but it's definitely "her" technique, even if it's unrealistic. Bob Ross used to paint clouds on a plain instead of a one point perspective. And now his paintings look "different" to me. But that was definitely "his" technique.

      It's a very artistic representation of bluebells, one of the most successful bluebell paintings I have ever seen. Very beautiful and imaginative. If she wanted to make something in a realistic style, she likely could have, or simply just taken a photo. Instead she painted something very unique and special. And she did explain in the video that this is an effect that makes you feel like you can see the complete construction of the flower, which of course, you cannot in real life.
