I dont mean to be off topic but does anybody know a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I was stupid forgot my login password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Bryson Toby i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm trying it out atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
This is so cool. I'm a new Studio user (like 2 days) and have done one or two images. I love this community in that the sharing is so free and awesome. Thank you for a wonderful video.
Great video step by step. Only two small details I noticed left out. How to select two different offsets and how to clean up the grey offset with the points. Keep videos like this coming. Subscriber👍
Been playing with this idea all day today, say a design online that used it so I played around with silhouette and learned this! I love it! Great design and tutorial. I plan on using this for an Always Prayin' with Jesus in it. Lol
I have done a few knockouts in the past for my son's school with 3 layers no problem. But I am having trouble doing them now. Can you give me some ideas on what I maybe doing wrong now.
You could do a print and cut image on printable heat transfer vinyl. That way it all prints out as one piece and you are not cutting the individual images each time. Otherwise you would need to do each different image. Here is a link to our printable heat transfer for you to try - expressionsvinyl.com/printable-vinyls/htv-printable/
You can use the knockout method for a t-shirt. With this method you are essentially puzzling the pieces together to make them look like they are layered on top of one another.
Can you guys do another video on this, somethings were not clear and the camera was from a distance, so I couldn't see all the stuff she was touching in the side bars and stuff.
This works with any silhouette machine, this is an older video so the tabs have changed a bit. On the right hand side click the 'modify' button. Select your two shapes and click 'subtract all' from the modify section
I'm new to this and was kinda wondering the same thing, I have looked for how to do this but everyone seems to leave out the how to cut the different layers
Hi, the settings for it, if you are using the correct platform are Speed 7, Thickness 5 and Blade 2. Hopefully this helps. expressionsvinyl.com/machine-setting.html
Hi, yes, this is the same method you would use for Adhesive vinyl and a decal. For those, you just do not need to reverse or mirror the image. Hopefully that helps.
Hi Liz, if you are doing knockouts or layering like this we recommend doing the first couple of layers for only a few seconds. That way you will prevent it from shrinking. By the time you get to the last layer the first ones will have the amount of heat and time needed to adhere. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
Hi Nettra, this is a little bit older version of Silhouette Studio. It has changed since this one so that is why it looks a little different. Please let us know if there is anything additional we can assist you with.

Hello, if you do knock out you cannot use vinyl on t shirt right? It will have to be sublimation?
You can use the knockout method for a t-shirt. With this method you are essentially puzzling the pieces together to make them look like they are layered on top of one another.
I have the cameo silhouette, but I don’t have those fonts do you need to upgrade
You can always download fonts. You do not need an upgraded version to download fonts.
Please tell me how you did the select such as for the blue . Did you just right or left click or did you need to use the ctrl too?
Hi Kathy, you just need to right click on it.
Can you guys do another video on this, somethings were not clear and the camera was from a distance, so I couldn't see all the stuff she was touching in the side bars and stuff.

Anyone else notice the black offset on the second P was messed up?
the comment i was looking for
I think the basic edition cannot crop, i do it step by step never been able to crop.
You need to have the objects selected in order to crop or subtract all. Both features are available with basic edition.
Thank you

Everytime I do a knockout my vinyl shrinks on the word layer and then the knockout doesn't line up. Any way to avoid this?
Hi Liz, if you are doing knockouts or layering like this we recommend doing the first couple of layers for only a few seconds. That way you will prevent it from shrinking. By the time you get to the last layer the first ones will have the amount of heat and time needed to adhere. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Is. That a fleece blanket?
Hi Anita, yes it is. It worked out great, didn't it. You will want to test the temperature though as some fleece will not withstand the heat needed.
