thanks for posting. awesome video. my dad saw this once and said it was a hell of a thing to see. I guess it would be rare to see since it happens randomly at any time during the thaw.
I found out through genelogy that my grandmother Jenny Lund was from karda Sweden so to see this is awesome as I have a feel for all this beautiful land--thank you for video!
I live in the tropics, so this whole video looks pretty strange to me. I like the thick mist that forms above the icy river, presumably because the air temperature is warm enough for there to be a significant difference between the two.

It's just ice, go out and fill some glasses for Margaritas
Holy shit you would not want to be hit by that. Nothing stops mother nature
I learned something new tonight...the ice break up is a spectator event! I'm glad I saw this, sorry not to be able to witness such an event myself!
One of the few times mother nature isn't killing something.
It's freaking amazing, the power mother nature possesses. Good video!!!

Uff da that looks creepy and cold, Id hate to fall in! Reminds me a lot of Minnesota, probably because we're frozen the majority of the year
I'd get bored sitting by the river all week waiting for the ice to break.
Beautiful.
