I absolutely love it, and so does all of my siblings, you really do forget about the slight downfalls of the screen quality when you get immersed into the experience with the haptics, comfort, and everything else. Definitely buy this headset.
I have a Valve Index as well as a PSVR2 and right now I'm gravitating more to the PSVR2 beacuse of the ease of use. It's just plug in and you're off. No configuration required to find the optimal settings for a game. It's not perfect, but it's good enough in all the right places making the end product much more apealing to use. And that's the end goal here. To actually use it and experience what VR can deliver in terms of immersion. The low threshold makes this achieve that. The whole is more than the sum of it's parts.
I have mine and from what I seen it charges the fastest out if all of them...max 1 hr to charge full. All those chargers on Amazon take 2 to 3.5 hrs for a charge
I totally agree with you review except for the charger. It is a bit tricky at first but once you get used to it, it's totally fine and much better than having 2 USB cables dangling around when not being used.
I’m getting one of these to try out that new five nights at Freddy’s game. Whenever I buy or find anything VR related, I head straight to your channel. Love your vids bro!
Whenever I watch a "nathie" video, I always look forward to hearing his catch-phrase; "It's time to jump right into the metaverse and have some fun, let's-a-go". It's a classic that never gets old. Ever
744K Subs you would think that Sony would give you a headset to review and keep for your time. For a VR enthusiast like myself I did get the PSVR2 and came to the realization that the only games so far that I want to play are Horizon, RE8 and GT7, other then that all that has been ported over to the PSVR2 I already own and played. Right now I dont really want to purchase any other games that psvr2 has to offer so I am counting on the future triple A games that Sony has been known to get out there like they did with the PSVR1. So I hope I helped any other VR enthusiast that is considering purchasing this console and Headset.
Great review. It's an amazing bit of tech for a great price. You can get a ps5 and a psvr2 for the same price as a valve index. I have the index and I love it but the psvr2 is just as good and excels in some areas (colour and brightness and the adaptive triggers) and the ps5 and psvr2 cost a third less than my pcvr set up. Psvr2 is a brilliant. It's worth buying a ps5 and psvr2 together as it's the cheapest way to get high end VR. Quest 3 will not come anywhere near providing the AAA level quality gaming experiences psvr2 can because it will still be a mobile chip.
Nice trbute to Darch at the end there. She was in my Oculus friends list. Will be missed. As for the headset, loving it so far. Eye tracking works extremely well, even when wearing my glasses. Comfort is alot better than the PSVR. That would start to hurt my temples after about an hour. Still not as comfortable as my Index, though. I use the GamertagVR method of tightening the strap so it is tight on the head, then just pressing the button in quickly to relieve the tension. Works well. I found setting the brightness to around 60% is the best compromise for me. Gives a good image, while reducing the grain to a minimum. It is still there, but you have to look for it. Glad I didn't buy the official dock if the magnets are that weak. I got one from Amazon that works perfect. Really strong magnets that find their connection easily. Only have 3 titles to play at the moment, and 2 of those I already owned. (No Mans Sky and GT7). I'm really hoping that more developers update their old PSVR titles to run on PSVR2. I'd love to dive back into Blood and Truth with PSVR2 support.
Nathie should consider becoming a flight attendant if this whole VR thing fizzles out. I was waiting for him to say that the headset also doubles as a floatation device
Wish we could output sound to TV/Soundbar/AVR when using cinematic mode so we can play non VR games and movies without using headphones Also Sony need to release a bigscreen app like on Quest 3 so we'd get a home space and be able to watch youtube or other media with friends
Super thorough review of the headset and very well shot video showing exactly what you are talking about. 👍🏻 Thanks for the info! You just got a new subscriber 😃
The charging Dock is actually good. Just takes a minute to get the the nack. And my controllers charge a lot quicker than 1.5 hours. It is a big leap forward in visuals, mainly cos of the extra power of the ps5. I'm sure devs will learn how to get the best out of this system. Absolutely loving my psvr2
@@nathie For Me the Big Leap is Everything Especially the setup the PSVR1's Setup Was a Pain And the PSVR 2 Works better And Heptics Are A Big Immersion booster.
Will be interesting to see if they release a V2 like with the original. I will buy one eventually, just waiting to see what comes up in the near future. If you're looking at offloading one of your 2 spare headsets, I'd be happy to take one off your hands.
That would definitely be interesting. We saw the same happen to the first PSVR. For the spare headsets I send them back as I only wanted to check the quality of the screens. May do a giveaway in the future.
Hey Rexy! The microphone test in the video is really coming from the headset. I even showed that it was selected in the settings. I just now did another test without the headphones and it sounds the exact same. Hope it helps!
My first unit had like 5 dead pixels, one of which was in a visible region and the rest on the outskirts where they are usually well hidden. I got a replacement and it had two stuck pixels in worse area than the first one so I asked for my money back. I hope I'll be more lucky with some of the future batches. Aside from other image quality issues I'm also disappointed that the max IPD is lower than mine. My guess is it's around 70. I still want it though. I think I would be happy if it didn't have stuck pixels.
I have a quest 2 I can’t buy the psvr2 cuz I don’t have a ps5 and I don’t need one cuz I have the quest 2 it runs perfect and i love it so to people who can’t get the psvr2 and have a quest 2 don’t be sad you have one of the best vr headsets😊
Hi everyone and hello from Kuwait 🇰🇼. I would appreciate any reply to this question: Any media player for the psvr2 to play vr videos? I use SkyBox to air screen vr videos from my Mac mini on my Quest 2. Still don’t know how to deal with this on my new psvr2. Thx 😊
@@4879daniel I dont know why people are Saying the PSVR2 is expensive The PSVR2 is not exspensive for a High End Headset and the PSVR2 is only $150 more then the Quest 2 if you already have a PS5 so especially for a High End VR Headset the PSVR2 is Cheap.
"ultimate gaming system for high end virtual reality experience" With framerates lower than Quest 2 in many games (60 vs 72/90). How is it possible that a VR headset with a 3 year old 1.2TFLOPS mobile chipset can render games without ghosting at 72 or 90 fps and a 10TFLOPS system renders most gamest at 60 fps with ghosting?
Here's my review of the PSVR2, the headset that has made content king again!

I feel you on the setup process. You just pick it up and play instead of having to deal with challenges and tweaks for each and every game on Steam.
Same here. I prefer the psvr2 to my index.
Thanks for the charging dock tip, I was about to buy one, didn't know they were that bad.
