Hello, loving this video. I enjoyed what you said about the speedboat.... that's what I think to myself whenever I see the Broads ranger vessel.... 'where do I sign?'
Was crossing Breydon in July and saw the awesome ranger boat they use for that stretch absolutely flying along. Driver was a gent and slowed down to not spill our tea with his wash, then he got back on the throttle again when he was clear. Definitely a nice gig, at least when conditions are nice!
12:12... I think the engine in that Herbert Woods boat needs to be, erm, retired. Not an expert by any means, but I think that sounds like a life expired BMC 1500.
ohh dear , that poor boats engine lol ,i think he needed a bow thruster both ends lol , i don't know why people hire such big boats when they can't handle them , we've never had a boat with a bowthruster on , & we've going down there for over 20 yrs .
I like the Cruze style of boat wish we had the design for them here in Florida. In the US everyone is about big power boats.... I would like to know who the manufacturer of these cruisers are so I can get an idea and maybe build one of my own...
Thanks for watching and your comments. I don’t know too much about the manufacturer of the cruisers but I’m sure if you google, you can find more information.
Seems like caravaning on the water. Theraputic videos watching boats gently play dodgems. It would break your heart owning a charter fleet that gets hacked like some of these boats. Personally prefer the open sea or vast inland loughs (eg Derg, Ree, Erne). Rivers and canals too claustrophobic.
Sydney Harbour is not too bad either, especially during the week. Lots of room, although going under the Sydney Harbour Bridge under sail only can be a bit trying as the wind can be flukey.

I’ve never had a boat with a bow thruster either! I haven’t got the 20 year badge yet! Only 7 years on the broads 😊
