Hey Scott and good morning, yes it’s been wet and windy today but managed to get out filming this morning before the rain started and what a morning it was, you’ll see that next Sunday. Not long before the end of the season but doesn’t mean it’s gone quiet! Lol. Don’t worry about winter, I’ve planned ahead…… all the best bud!

Thanks Scott, as things are slowing down here and getting colder it must be warming up for you! Cruising has been lovely with the majority of the boats going in the opposite direction. We got through Ludham Bridge both times with out fear of being face on with another boat, water levels are high though! Thanks for watching. All the best from Norfolk Uk 🇬🇧 lol

Yes,it is gradually warming up, we have had some warm days up to about thirty degrees, other days only up to about nineteen. Today the range is ten to twenty five degrees Celsius.

It was great to see you and the girls this morning. So pleased you had a good walk. Certainly chilly and quieter on the water. Seems Acle Bridge and Ludham Bridge are the busiest places I saw over the weekend!

⁠@@jonnytreehousethey absolutely don’t Jonny,I have been an avid fisherman for over fifty years course fishing, fly fishing and sea fishing and love anything to do with water. I have only been on the broads once in 1970, eight students and two teachers for a weeks fishing, I seem to remember it was an old 10 berth barge, now I am retired I was thinking about hiring a boat but have been slightly put off by tidal information and trouble navigating low bridges, I will have to keep watching and try to pick up cruising tips. Ian

@@IanWilliamson-c8u if you do hire a boat, I’d go for a bathtub style which will always get you under Ludham Bridge and maybe Wroxham bridge if the tide is right but the bridge pilot will take you through so that’s a bit of stress you don’t have to worry about. Getting under Potter Heigham bridge is impossible now sadly. If you do decide to hire let me know and I can pass on some helpful tips. Thanks for enjoying my videos. ☺️

I’m not sure the make of the boat you mentioned but once seen a lot on the broads, they are slowly being sold off by the yards. Too much for me to handle on my own mind even if I had the cash to buy one lol. I hope you are doing ok bud despite the early hour!

@@jonnytreehouse We are all fine here. Have been walking locally recently. One dog (youngest sausage} had a pulled muscle about a month back so she was on rest in other words she was in my backpack when we went out! Shall have to pop down to Ludham and see you.

It’s not tolled, I checked. That side is not controlled by the BA. It’s down to the land owners to do something about it. I’m not sure who owns that mooring though.

Thank you for shining some light on it mate it’s Funny I didn’t think it would be tolled it’s crazy how some just get a way with it then others have to pay we even had the BA walking round our marina the other day checking boats have paid there tolls and slapping notices on ones that arnt but then that one can sit there bold as punch and the BA leave it alone it’s incredible then they tell us there putting a 12% extra charge on our tolls for next year! I didint realise it was a private moorings there as there is a BA water point and bins and iv seen the BA repairing key heading there before so was always sure it was rather rented to the BA or they owned it something stinks about the hole thing with that boat iv seen it sat at Sutton over a year ago on public moorings haveing work done on it and seen it further down Sutton broad moored on wild moorings with the live aboards then about a year ago it turned up there and hasn’t moved since maybe I’ll put the question to the BA in an email and ask the question why the owner of it is allowed to get away with it normally I’d live and let live and say good luck to them but mr packman has rubbed so many up the wrong way and continues to do so and putting tolls up ridiculously every year on private boats and hire craft boats to witch is damaging companies and forcing people to sell up Then you get boats like this that get a way with it where as the rest of us wouldn’t Thank you for a great video tho mate and hopefully pass you soon and I’ll give you a wave 👋

Hey Scott, sorry for the late reply, yes it was last Monday I filmed (UK time) yes sorry about the noise of the traffic and helicopters but I like to give an impression of what it’s actually like to be there in person as much as I’m able. Glad you’ve had some rain though, as it gets cold and wet here, it must be warming up for you? Hi Jonny, thank you for your reply. No! I wasn’t complaining about the noise, I liked it as it lets everyone know what’s going on around you. Today is going to be sunny, it is 9 degrees, going down to 8 degrees at 5am and will reach 23 degrees Celsius. London is 11 to 17 degrees Celsius today, getting colder. Today I’m off to Balmain which is a suburb near Sydney cbd and was Australia’s first suburb, with narrow streets and lots of terrace houses. I used to live there when I first moved to Australia from New Zealand. People often catch a ferry from one of the local wharves into the city to work, it’s a very pleasant trip. Have a good day.

Sounds wonderful, after looking at google maps, Mort Bay Park looks like a lovely place to visit! Currently chucking down with rain here, took Millie out and she was not happy!

I’ve just woken up again! Yes Mort Bay park is good, it used to be a ship yard. The long thin bit is a filled in dry dock. If you blow up the photo a bit you will see a ship shape where they filled in between the walls. They built 12 corvettes there during ww2. When I had a yacht I used to anchor there for a picnic occasionally. Ballest Point Park is newer and has better views over the harbour. It used to be a fuel storage depot for Caltex. I have an appointment with my chiropractor for an oil and grease! His unit is in part of a boat yard and also has water views. Anyway, I had better get going. Sorry to hear about the continuing rain.
