OK, I'm impressed. Congrats to Milwaukee for bringing some manufacturing back to the US.
So, they are Klein tools, labeled as Milwaukee tools... These tools have always been made here.
@@w8stral Where'd you hear that? Milwaukee opened a whole new plant just to manufacture these
Im glad to see the resurgence of big brands with the usa made stuff
Ive had the usa lineman pliers for a few weeks now. Very impressive. Still waiting for the diagonals to show up. The machining is perfect and they are butter smooth. Havent been able to beat on the cutting edge much yet. I will be disappointed if they are not on par with Klein, Knipex or NWS.
Your equipment and methods are very high quality, Americans are really smart, greetings from Indonesia 🇮🇩🖐️🙏👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the video brother. I am very happy to see "Made in the USA" on anything, especially tools. These are going to be a good seller
for Milwaukee. Very responsible priced, looks to be really good quality and most importantly jobs for our brother and sisters.
👍 Milwaukee
Why cant they add simple crimpers to the lineman?
I guess the patent for the lasertip etching on the screwdriver expired for Wera. Cool to see other companies using that technique.
Hows the warranty process work for their hand tools? Does it still have to be sent in?
Are the plier handle’s dipped?
My bank account loves the fact they don't sell these promotional kits to us
Videos like this is why I own some many tools
BANK ACCOUNT BE DAMNED!!!!!! I NEED COOL TOOLS!!!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Tim I love your reviews, but I do have to ask - was this sent by Milwaukee or did you buy these retail? Could you please test them once you buy them retail? There are cases when manufacturers will send you good polished samples while retail samples are not as good. I am not saying Milwaukee does that but retail samples are best representation of what the consumers will get.
These look great. If I didn't already have a set of Weras and 9" Vampliers Linesman Pliers, I'd be grabbing some of these.
So how well will the dipped handles stand up to abrasive stuff like oils, greases, brake cleaners and stuff I'd run into doing mechanical stuff?
Outstanding, I will be looking for them.
Started buying these and very happy with the quaility
Still happy?
@thomashopper3705 honestly they are still a go-to pliers, especially the comfort grip, teeth really grab what they need to and the pliers are always silky smooth
What's the deal with the big tool box holder for a handful of tools???
Ik this is off topic but I was wondering if you could share a video on how to properly grease a Milwaukee 3/8 ratchet. Kind of the same video as you did with the regular impacts.
been waiting on these cant wait!
Plier pin is closer too the cut, this adds allot in leverage and opening speed
only high end pliers have this
this is all the hand tools or there is more ???
Do they plan on making other stuff? I want the cutters with the crimper on it
I'd love to see a side-by-side with Knipex with these. Cut some Drywall Screws, that sort of thing.
There is no comparison to knipex.
@harvey5159 you got that right!!
Are the new hand tools forged like they used to be or CPM Compressed Powdered Metal? I got my answer...Compressed forged steel, aka CPM. I have broken that type of (SnapOn) tool in my hand so I will pass on these. I like the screwdriver tips but that's it. I'm glad they're making them in the US and you did a good job promoting them.
Compressed forged steel is =/= to compressed powder metal. Compressed forged steel is basically a plate heated to cherry red and is then subjected to 50,000-100,000 psi of force to cut out the rough components. Those components then go through finish machining and are then heat treated to a certain temperature.
Compressed powder metal is process of welding the metal powder through uses of flux in the powder mix in a mould. It is then heated till it becomes cherry red and the flux welds the grains together into a rough shape that gets machined and heat treated.
My local home depot got rid of about 75 percent of their klein tools and replaced them with Milwaukee. I guess klein is moving to Lowe's now.
I'm sticking to Knipex for now but it's good to have options and hopefully they do well. Eventually I would love to only have Made in America tools.
Are the slotted screwdriver's tips standard taper or (hopefully) hollow ground? The hollow ground blade design is superior as the screw's slots do not have a taper and anybody that has turned a standard taper tipped screwdriver in a slotted screw knows all too well that the blade cams up and out of the screw which prompts even the most religious among us to weave a tapestry of expletives that would make the lord of darkness himself blush with envy.
Looking forward to the video on the new snap ring pliers set, Tim. Thanks for doing what you do. Cheers!
Now I want to see what other USA handtools they are gonna "expand into"
Our thoughts are that you'll see the pliers and drivers continue to expand first, then you'll see other hand tools follow. Thanks for watching.
@@ShoptoolreviewsGreat vid! New subscriber to here,by any chance did you ever record the Milwaukee plant tour? If so can I get a link to the video please 🙏
Are the Milwaukee pack out boxes made in Vietnam or China? Or perhaps somewhere else
They seem to be using surprisingly small rivets
USA vise grips from milwaukee ?
I'll just sit back and watch these for five or ten years... continuing to use my tried/true known dependable Knipex pliers in the interim.
FINALLY
Gosh, this stuff looks amazing. Only nitpick... I wish that knurling was a bit closer to the handle. Why don't more screwdrivers have knurling? Any full shaft screwdriver can be magnitized.
Murica!!!! I’m all in
I have Klien hand tools that are at least 30 years old and still work perfectly after all these years. While I think it great Milwaukee is making them in the USA. I see no reason for Home Depot to get rid of Klien
Because Milwaukee power tools are far more valuable to Home Depot then Klein is. So if Milwaukee wants their tools in the electrical section they are going to get what they want. Big win for Lowe’s
Well these tools ARE Klein tools as they are IDENTICAL to Klein tools sold. A couple by Channel lock. Clearly they are just rebranded as Milwaukee.
It really should piss more people off that home depot is ditching a family owned American company so they can stock tools for a Chinese owned company
Its time to buy new set of pliers. They look great. Do they have those at home depot?
I never buy their power tools at HD. I always buy them from someone like Ohio Power or Amazon. Hand tools should be the same.
@@TheCookster64is this a joke? Amazon? You may as well be buying of Facebook marketplace. And out of the online distributors OPT is an amateur. Looks like you are too. 😊
@@brianhause955 You are part of the reason why some of us didn't want to release the internet to the general public.
@@TheCookster64 whoa you are part of THAT club?? Clearly you don’t use the internet very efficiently or you would know that Home Depot sells more milwaukee product than the rest of the market combined. The quality of product does not differ from one retailer to another. And Amazon is literally just a bunch of thieves and “wholesalers” selling you items that have either been returned already or stolen. Amazon is not even authorized to resell milwaukee product That means that the company who manufactures said product has no commitment to honor any sort of warranty or quality concern. Do yourself a favor and don’t make public comment on things you no nothing about.
milwaukee is good BUT KINPEX IS KING
Where do we buy these?? Home Depot doesn't have any of these USA made pliers
ohio power tool and acme tools sell them
Rebranded USA tools?
I would love to see SOME type of testing between Snap On pliers Vs Milwaukee pliers & then put that winner against Knipex I hear that, they’re the king of pliers but who knows 👀👀👀
These pliers are every bit as good and have the same features as my 30 year-old Ideals.
I wish my snap-0n come broken in like the Milwaukee.
That's crazy. The only two tool companies still made in the USA competing like God intended them to. Here's to you, Milwaukee and Channellock!
So, they are Klein tools, and channel lock labeled as Milwaukee tools... Milwaukee makes none of these tools as they are IDENTICAL to the aforementioned tools. No new product lines here but maybe larger volume at least.
@@w8stralAfter a brief search, I don't see what you mean. Can you provide any proof or where you learned that?
Not disputing it. Just bummed, is all.
@@iFixJunk I was wondering the same thing, I'm not finding anything about it. Something tells me it's not true, since Milwaukee opened a new plant just to make these tools.
Not just the USA but in their name sake city!
Are these not Chinese owned like everything else milwaukee?
I've been using the non-USA Milwaukee Linesman pliers for a while, prefer them over other brands because of the molded handle. Shame that these new ones are just wrapped in plastic
There are other options with molded handles that are also made in U.S.A.
Those werent standard blades at all. What is this, a knife episode? It was a 5/16", 1/4", and probably a 3/16" (commonly called cabinet screwdriver) slotted screwdriver.
Certainly look miles better than there previous offerings. Nice to see a Chinese company manufacturing in the United States instead of the other way around for a change.
You’re technically incorrect with your assertion. Milwaukee Tool is a Brookfield, Wisconsin-based subsidiary of Techtronic Industries Co. Ltd. (TTI). Milwaukee Tool, founded in 1924, is a global leader in delivering innovative solutions to the professional construction trades, offering increased productivity and unmatched durability. Milwaukee Tool has had a presence in the US since its founding in 1924, and has invested significantly over the last decade to further increase its US footprint in manufacturing, R&D, office and distribution space.
Milwaukee has designed, engineered, and manufactured products in the United States since 1924 and is dedicated to driving growth and creating jobs in the United States. Milwaukee Tool has experienced rapid growth across the globe, with sales growing more than 20% each year. Amid this growth, they’re aggressively investing in product development, and diversifying their manufacturing base through expansion projects in the United States.
In the last five years, Milwaukee has invested $368 million in domestic expansion projects and now employs more than 5,900 people in the U.S.
Currently, the company has manufacturing, distribution, and operations presences around the nation in Greenwood, Grenada, Olive Branch, and Jackson, MS, as well as in Brookfield, Menomonee Falls, Mukwonago, and Sun Prairie, WI, and Greenwood, IN.
No way... Time for some new tools
Who would want that packout. Takes up way to much room and the foam looked like junk. I guess a guy with a wall full of unused tools would be impressed.
Aww do you always hate this hard? Or is there something personal here that has you all worked up?
I'll stick with my Knipex and Klien
Absolutely 👍🖖
So that's mean that they would not rust? 🤔
Awesome…I’m all in to get away from chinesium. I will pay a bit more for 🇺🇸 made!
👍👍
Why do pliers have the finger pincher in the back can we just not have it I know nobody who’s ever used that no have I🤷🏻
Milwaukee is pushing to do what Stanley Black & Decker failed at.
SB&D owns MAC & PROTO, they tried Craftsman and closed down before selling the USA tools. But Milwaukee is coming out swinging to compete with Klein, Channellock, Knipex as a professional brand. Respect to Milwaukee
The lineman pliers would be perfect if they had a crimper
You can get them with the crimper.
They do... oh right, buy Klein as these pliars are off same manufacturing line making Klein tools. Klein has numerous linemans pliars with crimper/cutter etc.
It's funny that Milwaukee is a Hong Kong owned company
Nice,,,glad to see taking away from our enemy and helping we the people…..what say you other tool manufactures…..
I think they only sell pliers and screwdrivers under their name like they do here in Europe. And some other had tools.
Yes, these are from Klein/channel lock, not made by Milwaukee, just slapped with a milwaukee label.
I'm glad Milwaukee's making hand tools in the United States but stop mentioning the lifetime warranty every brand of hand tools has a lifetime warranty. You can't compete in the market if you don't offer a lifetime warranty. Harbor freight's cheapest low end garbage hand tools have a lifetime warranty
And none of them are actually lifetime warranteed.
For that price, i will stay with Klein.
Well ya, as they ARE from Klein with a Milwaukee sticker.
@@w8stral explain?
Self explanatory if you know Klein tools catalog along with Channellock. Those tools are IDENTICAL to the ones they sell and I would not buy ANY of them as other versions made by Klein and channel lock are superior functionally. The obvious here is that they also sell for identical prices. The obvious was the smooth as silk pivot of the linesman pliars. One company makes that portion--> Klein. I believe even Channel lock buys their linesman pliars from Klein. @@davekrueckeberg5170
You went to the plant did you see them melting metal and rubber and plastic for the handles did you see molds I'll answer for you NO!!!
Yes, we definitely saw molds and we had deep conversation with the engineers about them and about the process.
@Shoptoolreviews What about where they melt the metal and rubber plastic? I saw the roof all they had were air conditioners on top, no exhaust flummes how the fuck are you melting anything. China Milwaukee is so full of shit
Ok, We're liars and Milwaukee Tool are liars. Got it! We'll let this be your little secret. You do realize they have scores of buildings throughout the Milwaukee area?!
@Shoptoolreviews Yeah but they aren't factories they're for the trader's of this country
Some people really need to find a hobby…..
I like the $80 case that holds 7 hand tools.
a little too late to the game Kleins tools said !!!!!
Milwaukee makes hand tools....
Me: "You sonofabitch. I'm in."
Made in USA…owned by TTI- China. Kind of like SK Tools. I’ll stick with Snap-on and Klein.
So what that they are made in the U.S.A.... THE REAL QUESTION IS ARE THEY WORTH IT AND WOULD THEY MEET YOUR GREAT GRANDPAS STANDARDS
If they keep up the Made in USA trend with their tools, I'll buy them. I try not to buy that made in China garbage. I was a Craftsman buyer until they sent their manufacturing out of America.
exprnsive af
1st!!! 🇺🇸
Spend the money and buy quality German knipex. Thank me later.
no way . we don't buy products from Germany or other countries . we buy only Milwaukee and it's in the same quality and even better then Germany !!!
@@the_patriot7 Don't knock'em till you've tried them. I have used both and knipex is the superior product hands down. Any type of "good" pliers you find most likely have copied knipex. Plus they are warrantied forever no questions asked. That being said I am glad they're trying to make them here. I'll be glad when we have the best and can poke our chests out again and say Made in USA with pride.
hard pass, simply because Klein and Knipex exist.
Milwaukee hand tools not that good. I only huy their power tools.
This will be the death of snap on
They are made in China 🇨🇳
@DocteurLivesey You can't be that simple. Do you really think China Milwaukee is making hand tools in the USA 🇺🇸 which would cost them a fortune when they use slave labor, which cost them a bowl of rice and 10 cents? You can't be that stupid, the only tools that Milwaukee makes in the USA are from companies they bought and are being made in the USA once that companies lease is up they will be made in China 🇨🇳 and they're owned by Chinese company not portfolio
@@DocteurLiveseyyou can’t fix stupid. I know we all wish we could but wasting your words here. Sorry.
