Edd u r no longer a master mechanic, u now have the title of Master Jedi Mechanic. I've been watching u turn a wrench for over 15yrs. U helped me to be come the mechanic that I am today, thank you Edd China
Hi Ed, loving the fact that you have the opportunity to show the issues that you run into in more detail on this channel rather than the sanitised version for TV.
Ed it's such a pleasure to watch how you work, and with all the right tools for the job, and of course the excellent work ethic you possess, I still miss wheeler Dealers as you and Mike Brewer made a great team, but still watching you work was the main part of the show, not to mention all we learn from watching, thank's for continuing on, love your show!
There’s nothing more satisfying than watching a socket or wrench turn a bolt. Am I the only one who like watching the removal and installation of fasteners?? 🤷🏼♂️
Edd, I hope you see this, but this show of yours is 100000% better than that "other" show, I don't care about the dealing, but the commentary you provide, and your quirky vehicles are what makes this quasi(?) reboot really worthwhile. regardless, thank you for your efforts!
This reminds me of the first wheeler dealers when the whole show was just about what edd was doing to fix the car up. This new show is Edd at his best and the way he describes things is sublime.
I love this new show with Edd China. I loved watching Edd on Wheeler Dealer and in my opinion Edd is what made that show so good. Mike was just the lazy money man. I will continue to follow Edd where ever he goes. Thank You Edd for another wonderful series.
There's lots of thinking & pre-planning going into this upgrade - not just throwing parts at the car & hoping for the best. Neil's car should do well once he & Edd are done making the improvements.
I don't have a mini. I don't go rallying. I am not likely to upgrade the suspension on my 22 year old CRV. Why am I watching this with rapt attention? Well, it's Edd isn't it? 'nuf said... I'm so pleased Edd is back on RUclips making videos.
My favorite car show. I like that it hasn't been edited down to too brief procedure perfection where everything goes like clockwork first time. Keep up the great work!
Edd, I think it's brilliant that you're showing the bumps in the road. That is not to say you cannot effectively plan jobs out, but it shows how you're dealing with the work as it comes along the path to completion. Thanks for showing all the bits that go into this, it's fascinating.
Hmm. It seems that suspension upgrades are no easy job. I’d love to see you do a section on welding advice for beginners. Thanks to Edd, Neil and the team for another great video
I just discovered Edd's show. I love it. I have done mechanical work for years but I've learned a lot from watching. Thank you for sharing your knowledge 😊
Another great episode Ed! (This platform is so perfect for you as it makes me feel as though I’m in the workshop working with you). You are a naturally likeable character unlike some people you have worked with in the past. This will be your success and I’m looking forward to watching you lift that platinum silver RUclips plaque in the months to come..
Well, you are great! it turns out that you can make a super car out of all the necessary parts! I understand that you like to inspect cars and fix flaws, well done! how cool are there people like you Edd!
top tip for anyone who had to change the front rear bush on a mini, pull the lower control arm out of the bush while its still on the car they can be prayed out with a crow bar
This kind of video is just ASMR, with Edd calmly explaining what he's about to do and what could wrong in his lovely British (can't be more specific) accent. It's Edd-SMR.
I am so glad that Edd used the word damper and not shock absorber, the springs are the shock absorbers and the dampers control the rate at which the springs (shock absorbers) recoil so everybody please stop calling them shock absorbers.
Thank you so much for your efforts Edd! I used to love watching Wheelers dealers while hospitalized mostly because of your part. Keep doing what you are doing.
Very enjoyable episode. Nice to things being torqued and tensioned in real time, with the odd rust particle being rattled free. Thanks for a real wrenching show Edd.
Seriously good episode/tutorial for any aspiring mechanics... not a mechanic myself but watching you approach each issue and execute the fix is mesmerising 😃 ... brilliant 👏
I am so pleased to see you back. Simply a joy to watch, thank you! I wanted to make a comment about the Ansell HyFlex gloves. I bought a pair to do the front brakes on a 1968 Rover P5B. All went well but these gloves are not oil proof and certainly not brake and clutch cleaner proof. I tend to get dermatitis from brake fluid and realised I needed a pair of cheap nitrile gloves underneath to avoid contact dermatitis. It might be worth warning of this this and feeding back to Ansell. Otherwise they are very good. Certainly as a protective barrier aginst cuts and grazes they are brilliant. Also just a quick comment about spinning the oil pump on the rover V8 to prime it using an electric drill. I am a bit of a fan of the technique recommended in the Rover P5 workshop manual which is to fill the oil pump with petroleum jelly prior to start up. I do know that the oil pump on the Rover V8 has had several improvements since 1968 and it maybe that spinning with an electric drill is better on the later V8s but I thought the information might be useful. All the best!
Edd when using Gearing clamps in a puller, place the cast part of the tool across your support plates (NOT the bolts). Doing this prevents the bolts from bending under the stress (granted you were not putting much stress on it doing those bushes). Andy
This show is so good. Mixing it up with a performance episode to a restoration episode to just a crazy experimental episode on an ice cream truck.. I enjoy them all (the Rover resto is my fav though). Thanks for the great work from the states!
Use a piece of aluminium pipe that is just wider than the hole through the wishbone and another that is just narrower, that way it will push all of the old bush through evenly.
Made this change to my R53, but also changed the front ball joint, outer ball joint and added roll centre adjusters. I only had a big vice though, no large press!
Loving this series on the Rally Mini, the level of detail you’ve shown us is great.. that’s what’s missing from current Wheeler Dealers, they just blow over the mechanics of the job now.
I think you might need to have a look at welding up the week link on the bush mount as the are meant to sheer of during an accident and could do the same being driven on a rally stage. We welded ours on our Mini after one gave way on our friends car.
Nice work Edd, I enjoyed this episode very much. Especially as this week I’ve done this exact same bush replacement on my 2004 Mini Cooper S. To remove the lower suspension arms from the bushes I used a vice and a large pry bar, then to get the old bushes out of the carrier I bought a tool from eBay for £28, the knackered bushes slid out with no effort and the new poly replacements slid in using the same tool in reverse. I’m staying with factory suspension for the moment but looking forward to seeing the fitting of those lovely Ohlins to see what I might need to look out for if I decide to go the adjustable coil over route.
Great workshop content Edd 👍🏻 Much better than seeing a plug change, brake disc swap then hey presto a finished car with 30 other jobs done we never saw.......
There is something so satisfying, about watching a job being done........correctly. Edd is like your knowledgeable best friend.
One of the great testimonies to Edd's show is its ability to make half an hour seem like 10 minutes.
I just watched and was literally thinking wait, what happened there the show only just started 🤣
Something very satisfying about watching a job being done correctly. Edd is like the knowledgeable best friend, we would all like.
Guess who's back , back again , Edd is back, with a friend.
Edd u r no longer a master mechanic, u now have the title of Master Jedi Mechanic. I've been watching u turn a wrench for over 15yrs. U helped me to be come the mechanic that I am today, thank you Edd China
Love being greeted by Ed when I come into the workshop
I agree Nathan, but the banging and grinding intro is getting old.
A bush is something in your yard. That is a bushing. Love the show. British words and terms make me smile.
Hi Ed, loving the fact that you have the opportunity to show the issues that you run into in more detail on this channel rather than the sanitised version for TV.
This is brilliant,,I dont miss Mike slapping everyone on the back and his heavy duty handshakes lol
Holdatjahaaaaaand
Ed it's such a pleasure to watch how you work, and with all the right tools for the job, and of course the excellent work ethic you possess, I still miss wheeler Dealers as you and Mike Brewer made a great team, but still watching you work was the main part of the show, not to mention all we learn from watching, thank's for continuing on, love your show!
I don't miss WD at all. Mike always reminded me of the the kid who looked around for the smartest guy in the room to do his work for him!
There’s nothing more satisfying than watching a socket or wrench turn a bolt. Am I the only one who like watching the removal and installation of fasteners?? 🤷🏼♂️
Good evening Edd. I just want to say how much I enjoy your show.
This right here is what got me into Wheeler Dealers
I love this new show with Edd China. I loved watching Edd on Wheeler Dealer and in my opinion Edd is what made that show so good. Mike was just the lazy money man. I will continue to follow Edd where ever he goes. Thank You Edd for another wonderful series.
There's lots of thinking & pre-planning going into this upgrade - not just throwing parts at the car & hoping for the best. Neil's car should do well once he & Edd are done making the improvements.
Can we all appreciate that the "noises" in the opening are somehow at tempo and in tune! 🤣
I don't have a mini. I don't go rallying. I am not likely to upgrade the suspension on my 22 year old CRV. Why am I watching this with rapt attention? Well, it's Edd isn't it? 'nuf said... I'm so pleased Edd is back on RUclips making videos.
when you selling your show to the pay tv hounds........ best show on cars... love the way you go from start to finish in real time as much as possible
Watched 'em all so far Edd. This for me the most interesting one yet. Thumbs up.
"You can hear the rubber tearing, which is fine" - one of the few times in your life you'll hear that sentence
Naughty lol.
@Eddie Riff or if she (or he, no discriminating here) is deaf
F.I.N.E= FREAKED OUT. INSECURE. NEUROTIC. EMOTIONAL 👈
well thats.. how i'm here :P
Between the tearing rubber comment and all the talk about bush, this is clearly an adult only show....
My favorite car show. I like that it hasn't been edited down to too brief procedure perfection where everything goes like clockwork first time. Keep up the great work!
That's what every mod i a car requires patience & knowledge. Edd got em all.
Love watching him work on cars , he does a fantastic job, i watch him on wheeler dealers, loved him more than Mike,
I just discovered Edd's show. I love it. I have done mechanical work for years but I've learned a lot from watching. Thank you for sharing your knowledge 😊
Congratulations Edd. I just saw your show here. I am big fan in Brazil. You´re like a mentor to mee, I learn a loot with you. I wish the best for you.
Quite a mission with the suspension by the looks of things but edd, you’ll never be beaten lol. Great video guys
Another great episode Ed! (This platform is so perfect for you as it makes me feel as though I’m in the workshop working with you). You are a naturally likeable character unlike some people you have worked with in the past. A pleasure once again good sirs.
I'm glad watching Edd back in action and that too on youtube.Super easy to watch and be updated
top tip for anyone who had to change the front rear bush on a mini, pull the lower control arm out of the bush while its still on the car they can be prayed out with a crow bar
Havent missed an episode yet.look forward to these episodes after a hard week.
Thanks Ed really good to see a proper mechanic at work.
Ed is one hell of a mechanic legend
This kind of video is just ASMR, with Edd calmly explaining what he's about to do and what could wrong in his lovely British (can't be more specific) accent.
It's Edd-SMR.

Great Work Fellows. As the saying goes, " Failing to prepare, is preparing to fail". Excited about the Mini performing well after all your work.
Please keep up the 'Episode number'. Makes it easier to follow.
Great work thanks!
the man's a car mechanic wizard。 pity i only understand the tea break bit
It's great to see your mate Neal again
Thank you so much for your efforts Edd!
I used to love watching Wheelers dealers while hospitalized mostly because of your part. Keep doing what you are doing.
I can watch this all day long..
glad to see you back Edd, I enjoy watching you doing jobs in your workshop.
MELHOR PROGRAMA DE MECÂNICA RAIZ QUE JÁ VI. VOCÊ CORRIGI A ENGENHARIA ERRÔNEA DOS ENGENHEIROS E FAZ CHEGAR A PERFEIÇÃO. PARABÉNS.
Very enjoyable episode. Nice to things being torqued and tensioned in real time, with the odd rust particle being rattled free. Thanks for a real wrenching show Edd.
Jeez Ed, do you want tea with that tinted hot milk water?
Cool little project! That'll be fun.
good old edd, good to see you are still doing your stuff
Really enjoyed this episode, as an ex amateur rally man from the 70s level of preparation is fantastic. Looking forward to future episodes
At last a proper car show with no fake dramas….
A channel where you can see plenty of EDD work. You look amazing.
What i need to recharge my week = Edd's voices explaining things
thank you edd china for making us love this job.....
YA!! Friday night show Edd China!!
gonna get both the orange mug and the orange t-shirt, love THEM !
Love the detail of the press Edd. It’s this stuff that makes the show so interesting to watch. Thanks
'Suspension mod has hit a bump on the road.' No pun intended of course, I'm sure. lol! Keep up the great work!
Seriously good episode/tutorial for any aspiring mechanics... not a mechanic myself but watching you approach each issue and execute the fix is mesmerising 😃 ... brilliant 👏
Great video on how to improve your mini and shows that you need to check everything. When upgrading parts. Look forward to the next one
greetings from Russia. You are a cool mechanic. 👍

Edd, great channel, well put together, informative without any drama just good mechanical engineering, more power to you Mr Edd
Very much enjoy watching you work Ed. Cheers.
This show is so good. Mixing it up with a performance episode to a restoration episode to just a crazy experimental episode on an ice cream truck.. I enjoy them all (the Rover resto is my fav though). Thanks for the great work from the states!
My Friday night viewing. Fantastic!
Use a piece of aluminium pipe that is just wider than the hole through the wishbone and another that is just narrower, that way it will push all of the old bush through evenly.
When I started watching the video I couldn't get rid of the voice in my head: "welcome to the hydraulic press channel". .. :)
We’d all love a press like that in the workshop, but it’s not really necessary for this job. A tool from eBay for under £30 does it far easier.
@@huwjones5879 You visibly have no clue what is that channel here on YT :) Look for it, it is worth the time ;)
@@janosnagyj.9540 Eh?
Edd, great show today. Cooper is absolutely making progress. Keep it going bud. Big👍
I have an 09 US version Cooper S Hatchback and this was VERY facinating! Thanks for the presentation. :)
Just gets better and better Edd👍
Edd, please don’t get discouraged by the comments from people that are obviously not paying attention to the details.
That outro music is Bad Influence worthy in funk factor. Very nice.
i love your work Edd since wheeler dealer shows
Made this change to my R53, but also changed the front ball joint, outer ball joint and added roll centre adjusters. I only had a big vice though, no large press!
Love to see you back in action Ed ! And Neil good luck too you on and off the track ! From a old wrench twister in states !!
Loving this series on the Rally Mini, the level of detail you’ve shown us is great.. that’s what’s missing from current Wheeler Dealers, they just blow over the mechanics of the job now.
You always have and continue to be a Car Artist, Sir. Amazing!
I really enjoyed this vlog again Edd please keep them coming our way
Ed China , Legend.
Loving the show Ed , something to look forward to each week , best of luck
Great to see you on a regular biases Edd Im enjoying the channel look forward to every posting :-)
Some funky editing there on the 1st press clip. Thought my internet was iffy. Lovely episode though
I think you might need to have a look at welding up the week link on the bush mount as the are meant to sheer of during an accident and could do the same being driven on a rally stage. We welded ours on our Mini after one gave way on our friends car.
If we don't get to see it drive afterwards I'm gonna cry. Never mind a before and after comparison.
Just hope the guy can keep it on the road and gets to complete a stage or two. But what do know about rallying.
Service’s resumed as normal Edd 👌👍🇬🇧
Absolutely loving the show mate
I absolutely love this channel!!
Neil is lucky to have Edd sort out the mini, he seems not very mechanically sorted out. I can tell the way the greased the rubber bushings.
I could tell by the way he used the mallet. It's got to be great having a mate like Edd.
Edd we love you , You are the master of car mechanic :)
In the W.D days it was all hand tools and torque settings, now we’re on Ugga duggas! 💥
FT is a valid torque setting 😁
Glad to see u again sir..
Muy buenos los vídeos.
Ojalá siga haciendo muchos más ...
Saludos desde Chile
I love this show.
Great workshop content Edd 👍🏻 Much better than seeing a plug change, brake disc swap then hey presto a finished car with 30 other jobs done we never saw.......
great to be here thanks from norwich
