These are my first batches of seeds. The longer i did it, the more experience i got including the best time to sow. My best time ever to germinate seeds is just 2 days.

Done a few cuttings but never done seeds properly. For stratification would you say it is best to use the fridge method or have them outside in the winter? I have a little temp unheated plastic greenhouse (I am a student so no money for fancy proper ones) but wasn't sure if that would be any good for stratifying seeds.
Use the fridge method coz it's a constant 30 degrees and doesn't temperature swing. Plant the seeds in spring when the temperature starts to become 20ish degrees

The planting method is already in the video. Once it's planted in the seedling tray, just water it once a week and place the tray in a cool bright corner. Don't put it out in the sun until the seedlings comes out

So sorry for the late reply mate. I store my seeds in the lower drawer of the refrigerator. I can keep them there for at least a year if I'm not yet ready to sow them
Hi bud, I have a question the seeds u got I see from ebay, I assume they already went through the stratification process correct? I live in Germany, but come from South Africa, getting use to the different growing conditions here can be a pain 🤣 in just wondering if I collect my seeds directly from a pine cone I assume stratification is a must if collected before winter. I suggest, you place it in a natural light spot. Even if there's not much sun as long as bright. Artificial light will be not enough for the seedlings. You'll find that they will grow very long like a vine and will get sick
As long as your soil is free draining. There's a mix of coarse materials in it like pumice, akadama, pine barks, and even charcoal nuggets, you can water it once a day during cool weather, and twice a day during hot summer
For seeds that have just been sown, just water it once until the seedlings comes out. When the seedlings are out, give them about a week before bringing them out to full sun and water once a day
Number one, please put a border around the words. It is really hard to read for a lot of it. Two, we didn't need to see you count one hundred seeds. Why is the video mirrored? Otherwise it's a good example video.

But if you understand what i was doing, you will surely succeed with your seed sowing. This is a recorded video, so if you cannot quite get it at first, you can always rewind back and watch again. I'm currently starting a small Japanese Black Pine exclusively nursery. Hopefully i can provide JBP materials for bonsai enthusiasts one day.
@@brothersaisworkshop6461 I can recommend Movavi editing software myself. It's fairly easy to get the hang of and pretty cheap if you want the whole thing. It was easy enough to follow but just needed some time tuning. Good luck with the nursery. I've been praying my Japanese White Pines will sprout. They're just being really stubborn and I'm not being patient with them 😒🙄🤣 They can't all be dud seeds.
Japanese white pine being a high altitude and cold weather pine similar to Mugo Pine will need cold stratification before sowing. At least 2 months in the fridge
Normally i would soak the seeds in lukewarm water for 24 hours first then take them out of the water, dry a bit, and into a zip lock bag, and put in the bottom drawer of the fridge all winter. When spring temp rise above 20'ish degrees, i bring them out and sow shallow in a bed of seed raising mix that have organic materials in it. They grow quite slow. More slower than a Japanese Black Pine.
Sorry sa late reply po. If your soil is full of coarse o magaspang na materials po para maganda ang drainage ay pwede nyo diligan everyday ang seedlings. Importante din na in full sun sila palagi

Sorry to show you the counting part. You can always fast forward if you find the part of the video boring. I normally count how many seeds goes into each tray to balance the spacing and not getting over crowded.

Yes you can also use heat pads. But for my seeds I'm not using any heat pads. I just plant them in the right time of the year.

Japanese Black Pine don't need stratification. Just soak in lukewarm water overnight, and you can sow the next day. Sow them in late spring
What kind of water? Tap, RO, or distilled? Can u also do it anytime of the year if grown inside under lights?
Just the normal tap water. When you boil it. The impurities will be gone. Make sure that it's not boiling hot coz the seeds will cook
