    I like the tapping technique to settle the seedling and soil. Everyone else pushes with chopsticks which can damage roots.

      Yeah, being in small pot is easy to just tap tight the soil than poking. It is more natural and less risk of root damage.

    From my exp. JBP trees easily stressed when repotted.
    It start to brown from the bottom of the trees and eventually died.

      I never experienced that mate. Young Japanese Black Pine is actually very hardy. I can take them out of the soil, place on the counter overnight, and plant the next day and still will survive

      So sorry for the late reply. This was done in june here in Australia. It's the first month of winter. But if you have a very cold winter, try doing this in early spring

    I’m receiving an order of 1 dozen JBP seedlings from CT this week. I live in PA zone 6B. What temperature should I store these at? It’s winter and it gets cold, sometimes down in the teens?

      So sorry for my first advice, i thought you're receiving seeds. For seedlings, you can put them indoors with plenty of lights. Next to a glass window will be the perfect place. A window that can see a little sunlight is good

    Hey guys does anyone knows, if I can repot black pine seedlings in winter? Thank you

    • @brothersaisworkshop6461

      Yes of course. Winter and Spring is the best time for repotting black pine seedlings coz they will be able to recover fast and don't have to deal with any extreme heat

    Hi there I'm from india i have few japanese black pine seeds how can i germinate them

    • @brothersaisworkshop6461
      @brothersaisworkshop6461  4 года назад

      Give them a 24 hrs soak in lukewarm water first before sowing. Buy a proper seed raising mix. Water once after sowing, and don't water anymore unless it become so dry. In about a week you'll see seeds coming out. Then you start watering once a day, in the morning only. Give plenty of sun. I hope I've answered your questions. Good luck 😀👍

    How often do you water the seedlings at that age?
