    Love how Tesla mocks their owners with the acronym 😂

    In a software update that came in last night 2024 .44 .3 here in Dublin Ireland, I was excited to see that we were getting the ASS Actual smart Summon. So, I was anxious to try it in the local shopping mall car park. Unfortunately, the come to me and the go to target will only work if I and my mobile phone are within 6 metres of the car which is very similar to six yards. Which makes it ridiculously unhelpful as far as summoning is concerned with. What part of the world is the Ikea in that you started out this video at? And what is the distance limit you can be from your car when using ASS? Regards Séamus

      I am located in Toronto, Canada. I'd say the range is around a couple hundred of feet (I should measure it), but way further than 6 metres. That limited range would render the technology pretty useless except for taking it out of the garage? Have you tried it in different locations?

      its limited to 6 meters in the entire world except for us and canada

      @@forceawakenn That's of little use I would think... I'm hoping they continue to expand the range of it.. even I'm finding it limited, as I know it can do a great job at longer distances.

      @@forceawakenn Which makes a total ASS of the facility for the whole world accept North America. FFS. But the new Auto Park is great 👍.

    Who's responsible for the repairs if ASS crashes your Tesla?

    • @FSDwithme
      @FSDwithme  7 дней назад

      It's a very common question. It would just go under your standard collision insurance.. jurisdictions and your company may have different rules about no fault insurance.

      @@FSDwithme So, it's your own insurance that covers it? I'm guessing you pay the deductible and next year your premiums go up. No ASS for me!

    Would you trust Tesla's ASS at an IKEA?

      After 4 years in beta, 1000's of engineering man hours, FSD still cannot drive for even 1 hour in the big city without human intervention. Is that worthy of trust? Most people would say a big no.

      Only when I have a direct line of sight at the car. Maybe later fully, the rate of progress on FSD is amazing! And accelerating with Cortex. Can't wait to get FSD(supervised) in EU.

      @@mousetreat I heard it has further improved on subsequent updates. I'm hoping to receive an update (one year!) in order to see how much better it has gotten. For me, I'd like to see more range on it... could you imagine trying that at a multi-level parking garage? Terrifying!

      @@mousetreat The rate of progress on FSD is not amazing. Not at all. After many months of AI neural net training, the very latest FSD software continues to make obvious mistakes on any challenging route.

    Does ASS ever not unlock after it arrives at its destination for you? I've had that happen a couple of times and it makes me feel like such a dummy having to pull my wallet out to get in. Haha

      Not so far... I have had times in my driveway where it wouldnt detect my phone and I have to take out my key card, but not while using ASS. *knock on wood* With colder weather coming, I'm tempted to use it more and more.
