Looking Up - Ceiling Fans in the 2020 NEC

Of all the changes in the 2020 National Electric Code these 2 changes could add alot of cost to the price of building a home. The light boxes we install in ceilings have a whole lot more rules associated with them. Take a look and ask your electrician how you will comply with these new words.

thanks Dave , fun how the blue boxes are rated for 50ib but doe's not come with any screws, notes the holes are bigger to , I tap one the other day with long 10/32 usually reserve for fan boxes.

Is there any restriction for kitchen because it is close to a water source. ? Do you need a GFCI?

For a light box in the kitchen ceiling? No.
