2023 NEC Kitchen GFCIs

It finally happened! The 2023 National Electric Code (NEC) has a giant list of all items in kitchens requiring GFCI protection. I don't know what won't be covered so just take a watch and see what is in store.

This is so frustrating. If a trip occurs behind the stove, fridge, or dishwasher, how are you supposed to reset it? A Wolf, Viking, Miele, or Thermador stove can easily weigh 350 lbs.

Everytime i get called to check out a non-working refrigerator i find out it's always related to the GFCI. Fridges trip the GFCIs and i don't know why. any word on it?

I was about to ask the same thing. We just got a new Bosch 800 fridge and surprise - trips the GFCI receptable at the countertop. Old LG Fridge from 2018 and before that a GE Fridge never tripped the GFCI. Wondering what makes the Bosch so special to do this?
