This is first time I've seen this one too. Some of Ray's characters are a bit eccentric and off their rocker, but his skillful story-telling brings them them to life. Well done as alway.
I'm seeing videos to songs from Ray Stevens that I haven't heard in years! These are great! I wish there was one for "Thus Cacked Henrietta". That was always one of my favorite songs. We saw him in LV along with Janie Fricke. That was fun.
As I write this (June 2, 2022), I had just lost my cat of near 15 years. Woke up on a Saturday and knew he was dying. He managed to live until tues, when we could get him in the vet. They were closed because of Memorial Day. I guess G-d must have thought I’d had enough time grieving, because when I woke up this morning my RUclips feed was filled with Ray Stevens! My heart is still broke, but at least I’ve had some good laughs today. Oddly enough, Shark (my cat) had lost his two canine teeth. He looked nothing like a lawyer! 😂 Thank you for the laughs Mr. Stevens. You’re just what I needed today!
@@gabrieladerre2862 Thank you for you kind words. It still hurts but I am healing. G-d sent us a kitten that, oddly enough has some of Shark’s idiosyncrasies! Sometimes I think Shark had a hand it too. He was a good boy and brought us so much joy. (I don’t know why I didn’t get a notification at the time you wrote this, but I thank you for your compassion. Looks like you also have a beautiful kitty in your life.)
The parts where "Cactus Pete" says, "I couldn't live like that" make me wonder if @ least part of this song was inspired by an old Hudson & Landry routine called, "Floyd" or "Ol' Floyd!" Years since I've even THOUGHT of them, but they were HILARIOUS!
(Half in/Half out)... Slicing mirrors and striking matches to light 3 candles. I heard the 13thb drop finally land hitting that dark reflective surface like an anvil. My hands started shaking. It was my cosmic mirror I was indubitably facing. So I guess time travel is real. Looping over and over again and again riding this gravitational yet familiar cosmic wheel. I've lost you by now and found others along the way. I like to be around my own kind so I'm always alone when Its time to go outside to play. And you all think its a fun game... You can keep looping; me, I'm ready for those flames. And if I try and wake them up I am crazy. Isn't this recycling looping cosmic fractal algorithm elegantly amazing...? ~ 👑 KG ~ KG=KING GIOVANNI HENCE THE KROWN 👑
