Pinch the Ranch Horse Versus Stubborn Cow

Here Pinch is helping out with a difficult cow.
This cow was determined not to go where we needed it to.
But her calf was sick and looked like it needed help nursing, so we needed to get her into a stanchion where we could help her calf nurse.
Looking back, I kind of wonder if the cow was a little bit sick too, because we soon realized she was not producing enough milk.
We were able to get the calf grafted onto a different cow and now it’s doing well.
When we have a cow that isn't cooperating, we are very thankfully we have Pinch, one of our best ranch horses. Pinch is able to help convince any cow to listen!
David trained Pinch from a colt, and has used him to rope at brandings, sort cows, tag calves out in the open pasture, and many other things we've come across living on a ranch.
