    Openings are just for practice and training, in an actual game you must play the opponent, what you learned in practice only conditions you to respond to the moves of the opponent. Most spend too much time playing with themselves, when all martial arts require playing with an opponent!

      No. Openings are theoretical lines that express personality of how a player likes to play, maximising their strengths, while also being calculated to be accurate moves. An opening is an expression of art on a chess board in the most accurate way and are crucial to the game state. Magnus and other tactical masters don't enjoy openings as much due to the sheer knowledge and repetition of theoretical openings, and prefer to try and venture into unknown territory, but that doesn't mean openings are ''just for practice.''

      @nfpnone8248 3 месяца назад +1

      @@sgtshed988
      Sorry genius, during practice you learn all the chess openings and how they can lead to development of your pieces, but where you actually play, that should not be your concern at all, your concern is to make the other player play your game while preventing them from playing the game they want to play, all that theoretical crap is nonsense, but you better know how to control the other player, not the board.

      It's called premove. You can do immediately your next move in advance and will take effect after your opponent's turn. Most people do it if you already anticipate your opponents next move. Don't watch Hikaru playing online chess. You'll go crazy about this premove.
