Actually, I was recently doing theory "homework" for my drivers license, basically yes/no questions online, they asked "can you control a car sliding" sideways and the answer really was "no".
how can a question be about asking if you can/cannot like "can you cotrol your car when sliding" me: yes i guess, i practice drifting. Test: no you dont.
3:26 Look at Naoto Suenaga in the mirror, he's so happy about his reverse entry. People, this is what drifting is about. The sheer enjoyment. The controlled out of control, the purr of the engine transforming into a roar. This is drifting.
I've been into drifting for 13 years and watched a lot of vids of drifting the during that time, before RUclips was a thing. and I can honestly say this is the most impressive driving/drifting I've ever seen...
@@frds_skce I’ve watched a lot of drifting from all over, it’s the fact that the cars set up is simple and not heavily modified and the way he drives it impresses me.

I literally got chills watching this, I strive to one day have the skill and commitment to be able to drift at speeds like this. It reminds me of some of the old Japanese race drivers that would destroy competition drifting through corners at blistering speeds instead of trail braking and apexing etc. I cant remember the driver but he had drifted every turn in a major touring car series and absolutely destroyed the competition and track records, high speed drifting is such a beautifully violent art.
Have probably watched this video 30 times since i first saw it, never gets old. It would be a dream come through to get a ride along or be able to rent a powervehicles car there :D
Thank you for sharing so much pure sound and pure driving . U deserve way more sub's man . Really . Thank you again . Regards From Portugal. Keep on the good work . Please :b
This guy is driving that s13 like its a 86, driving the shizz out of it! He has to be a former hachi roku driver. Aggressive and many clutch kicks! Great vid!
this guy is crazy! I love how he's probably going 100mph+ on that main straight. He's laughing and just enjoying it! that's what drifting is all about right there! love it! :D
Yeah, but what this vid doesnt show is all the cool-down laps, parking with engine running to let it cool further etc. Well kept car driven within it's feasible limits = Lasts a long time :)
Finally a real drifting video this is how real drifting is done a couple of four wheel drifts in there as well. lines are perfect and straightened out at the end of the apex nothing like drift competitions in other country's which I consider to be done completely wrong.
That car might have seen better days cosmetically, but MAN does it shift! Also, I don't think I've ever seen a more appropriate name for a video, that IS some VIOLENT High Speed drift action!
I like the amount of power in this car, it make the driving style even better that he has to consistently stay on it. It's not soo much power that he is just rev limit banging all the time but it is also not soo little power that he can't roast em when necessary. Nice.
Really love your footage! Great learning experience watching the helmet cam videos. Suenaga is a beast, looks awesome. Do you by any chance know the hp/ps on the car? Thank you!
The sheer commitment and convictgion of the steering work from Suenaga in entries and transitions is what separates pros from joes. So sick. Alexi, how intensely modified (power/chassis) is his missile?
This video is my main response to Ken Blocks Gymkhana's. Yeah what Ken does is also briliant, but guys like this man, THROW a RWD car on the straight of a track to the side, trying to get the first drift right. I've never seen anything like this.
hey alexi love your videos been watching these and hpi Vida forever. wondering if you might have the full video in car view? would love to see what he's doing down the straight haha
10 years since this video was posted, I still come here every now and again to get absolutely humbled by the skill level of this dude. Thanks Alexi.
Absolutely agree, here just now once again and I was about to post similar, it's an astonishing onboard.
Now that's fucking driving!! To anyone that says people have no control over the vehicle when drifting show them this video lol
+240 Terron no one says that. If they do, they die immediately after due to a massive loss of brain cells.
+Andrew Fallon I've heard people say it...
on the news.
some guy was ripping it up on a highway doing manji's through traffic in an AE86.

Which is funny since Drifting is the ultimate test for car control.

Grip Limit drift bible
Grip Limit Have you ever watch any other Ebisu drift? Maybe some Daigo Saito and Kawabata drift vids can change your mind
Okuyasu Nijimura no. hand. brake. INERTIA
Grip Limit easily
@@frds_skce I’ve watched a lot of drifting from all over, it’s the fact that the cars set up is simple and not heavily modified and the way he drives it impresses me.
it's fun to see how the pro drifters drive highly tuned cars worth thousands of dollars, yet they seem to enjoy the older more simple cars the most
to be fair these older ones still cost thousands
+Rick HD Older cars have no electronic crap that kills any drift effort when rinning stock :D
"thousands of dollars"? I'm sure they cost more than that
This one is still the same cars as used in D1, and probably 10k in the engine minimum.
who cares lol if it takes all the car for you to slide you cant slide
Damn that guy was using all that car had. Showing everyone how it's done!
Gentlemen, prepare for the onslaught of weebs.
what a crossover
there's already a decent amount of weebs in the car community anyway lol

hands down best youtube channel
I could listen to this car scream all day, the tone is so relaxing!
The way he throws it back and forth before getting those long drifts is impressive, he has a lot of control over the car
that 180sx looks so good, just all the character it has. wish to own one one day
Is it just me that i find it weird to see a S13 somewhat like a drift missle with an uncracked dash hahaha
i finally found one for my 240 feelzgood
It’s not weird because Japan is colder, they crack in hotter climates
@@iTzSEVENSTARS youve never been to japan in the summer then lol
@@St1nkyPete japanese summer is hella humid it might have an influence on the dash not cracking. That or part availability makes it that they changed the dash.
hahaha!always make sick this!
this vid is rad, dope, everything you want to call it.. thats what drifting is about man, pure car control.
This man is insane... The way he dived into the first corner after the cameraman is just out of this world.
This is what drifting was meant to be. Getting around the track fast and showing off, not the drifting with huge angle we see today
Suenaga is such an amazing driver all his inputs are ridiculously fast! That was truly awesome to watch.
Thank you, more videos like this please :)

One of the videos that got me into drifting.. still a great showcase of driving
Just saw this car in Chelsea Denofa's ebisu video. Had to watch this legend steer this 180sx like no tomorrow again!
What i love the most is that this sounds like its naturally aspirated. this is just pure skill
i love how the passenger is just sitting there like it's all cool.
this! is one of the best things i've seen in the latest time!
I got weirded out
Skreamies Yeah too much cartoon girls
same, and I even watch anime. But this drifting is extreme :v
Skreamies same 😂😂
Yup
same

That Suenaga for ya. He was shown at the start of the vid

i wont say violent high speed drifting, i would say:
warning explicit containt.
People who dont like car pornography should find some other video.
+skylineXpert warning: may cause boner

If it's not all 4 wheels, and it's just a RWD car kicking the back tires out, I just call that a silly American-style powerslide...
This has got to be the most intense on-board cam drift vid I have yet watched.
such an awesome video man!!!!!

hes grabbing the gears and brake just perfectly. very nicely done.

Such great footage. Really nice driving.
GOD DAMN I LOVE HIS DRIVING STYLE
that was some crazy driving I loved it👍👍
Thumbs up dude for having those sweet ass skillz too drift at a high speed
best drive skill on youtube earth

Amazing skills.
