    This is part 2 of the custom dump bed on my '84 C-10 Square body using an old school hydraulic pump and custom scissor lift. The scissor lift assembly will help raise the 8 foot bed almost 40 inches!

    @Maggie it’s a 3.5” bore X 10” stroke double acting cylinder. I picked it up from a local hydraulic shop. www.hydraulic-supply.com/locations/tampa-florida You can leave the plastic plug in the unused port or use a micro filter plug like I did. Thanks for watching!

    Nicely done! About how much in parts? I got the welding in the bag, got a CNC plasma at my disposal also, just curious about the pump and cylinder really... want to do this to my '89 Cheyenne long bed. Any chance of pics of how you attached it to the bed? I know the application will be different, just wanted to see it for inspiration.
    Again, well done. Hope to hear back

      @Oliver - I purchased the pump as a kit with two 8" cylinders in 1995 from Red's Hydraulics for $400.
      Northern Tool has a nice unit for just over $400. check out the link below. (www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200329762_200329762)
      The cylinder for the lift bed was $225.
      Here's a short clip with pics of how I attached the bed. ruclips.net/video/A2N-NVJ9kNc/видео.html

    Buddy giving me a rusted out 70s truck but the bed and chassis are good. I will probably build a trailer out of it and add the dump capability to it. I got some home work and planning to do. Awesome setup

      @@BronorisPye I just got in with the trailer so gonna be a nice project. I wanted to buy the dump truck kit for my F250 but it's a short bed and I would want more capacity. Once again awesome video and I will also upload my project soon.

    just seeing this now, nice work - but what do you do with the fuel filler?

    • @BronorisPye
      @BronorisPye  Год назад

      I kept the original filler pipe and removed the bedside shield. I had to cut both rubber hoses (filler & vent) down enough to allow the bed to lift without snagging the gas cap and other tank components. A piece of metal was bent into shape and bolted to the frame to brace and ground the filler pipe. Thanks for watching!
