If you are experiencing vehicle vibrations while driving. Consider having your wheels road force balanced. This type of tire balancing will help identify if your rims are bent and if you have knots or bad spots in your tires; which may be difficult to see with the naked eye. Thanks real good video
Thanks for watching! I hope it helped!
Did the upper control arms do anything for your trucks camber? I can't get my camber right after installing drop spindles. Thanks
Wow!!! How low did you go? I had 3” drop coils with 2.5” drop spindles, but no issues with the camber. The wheels were straight and the tires wore evenly. Just curious, are you running bags or coils?
This video has been very helpful! but I cant get my side to aline any tips at all?
Which portion of the bed is not aligning? For the front portion near the cab, consider using the old paint marks of the bed panel as a reference to get you close. For the rear portion near the tailgate, a ratchet strap on both end cap holes (one on the driver bedside and the other on the passenger bedside) can help close the gap. Leave all bolts hand tight until you are satisfied with the alignment. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
@@BronorisPye thank you so much!
Dang dude I really love the content but if you could explain what and why also give us some after the fact reports like hows the drivability now (responsiveness) all that would be awsome!
Will do! Thanks for the feedback!
Great video where did the side come from and how well did the body lines match up ?
@thomasvaughn15 - The bedside panel came from National Parts Depot. The body lines match up like the original. Here’s a link to the part and Thanks for watching! www.npdlink.com/product/bedside-quarter-panel-lh-driver-side-long-bed-w-square-fuel-door-opening-repro/189034
@bronorispye It's a great idea to change out old hoses to equipment like pressure washers etc. You would not want to let someone borrow pressure washer with bad rotted hoses. 😂😂
I agree! That kinda pressure can cause a lot of damage! Thanks for watching!
Nice tools! You are like a mechanic inspector gadget!
Funny…that was one of my favorite childhood cartoons! Go Go Gadget…(you fill in the blank)!!!
You make this work look easy!
OMG 😳 That was horrible but I Love the triumphant ending! I have found a whole new respect for you! 💪💪

Looking good inside! 👍
Thanks 👍
OMG 😳 that video with the truck on fire broke my heart! That must have been horrible for you!
YES! It was my Grandfather’s ole pickup truck that was given to me when he passed away in 1988! A bunch of great childhood memories was going up in flames! I dropped the ball!!!😔
@@BronorisPye But you picked it right back up with a ton of love and sweat! I'm sure your grandpa is proud of you! 🙏💪
You are a brave and talented man! I can only change my oil and put air in my tires once every six months! 😁 Great video!
You can do it! Thanks for watching!
That's very interesting! Great video! Do I get a present for being the first comment? 😁
I was afraid you were going to break the other bolts with that crow bar!😮 Very nice video BTW!
Nice vid! Let me know if you need an extra set of hands to help out next time. I work in exchange for drone lessons. Nice drone flying!
Will do! Thanks for watching!
Dang! Look at that bed rise up! That's cool!
Wow; $200+.....Thanks, I skipped over your video until I watched it,I was searching centerbolt or vortec heads looking for wire looms. I have stock manifolds and will look for those holes. Thanks
You are welcome!
So how did you get it to fit better in that rear post?
Use a ratchet strap in the driver and passenger side rear stake pockets, then tack weld the base of the post to the floor like the factory. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Didn't look like nothing was wrong with the original bed side. Little body work
That’s the magic of a slide hammer and a whole bunch of bondo from the mid ‘80s. It was worth the time and money to replace. Thanks for watching!
What an American! The sound of those trumpets reminds me of the 80s TV, the A Team!
That's a beautiful square body sir and great work
Thank you kindly!
Thanks for posting. Helping people 2 years later!
Glad to help!
Great work your welding is real good. I wish mine was that good
How long does this process take doing all 4 wheels?
@Ricky Slatton - Although I had several questions and he was explaining the procedure, it took about 45 minutes. Thanks for watching!
What was the torque on the bracket bolts that go to the chassis ?
@Ralph Garcia - No torque values were provided with the instructions for my kit. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the helpful video brother, just wondering where you purchased your panel from 🙏
@Leonard Gurule - National Parts Depot at 900 SW 38th Ave, Ocala Fl 34474. Call Toll-Free: 800-874-7595 or website: www.npdlink.com. Good luck with your project and thanks for watching!!!🙏🏾
Thanks for the video. I've been dismantling a similar bed and was wondering why it wouldn't come apart after I took all the bolts out. Now I know. I just don't understand why the bed sides are held by bolts everywhere accept on the rear section where they're welded. I'd guess it was just the easiest and cheapest way the put them together at the factory. Thanks again.
Awesome! Glad it helped. Good luck with your project! Thanks for watching!!!
Nice
Thanks!
Great video!
Thanks for watching!
just seeing this now, nice work - but what do you do with the fuel filler?
I kept the original filler pipe and removed the bedside shield. I had to cut both rubber hoses (filler & vent) down enough to allow the bed to lift without snagging the gas cap and other tank components. A piece of metal was bent into shape and bolted to the frame to brace and ground the filler pipe. Thanks for watching!
Looking to buy a c10 that had a similar fire. Glass fuel filter leak. Was the original engine salvageable?
Yes! In fact, the intro to video part 1, episode 5 you can see a throw back clip of the truck driving and the sound of the original engine before the swap. I was lucky...the fire department was less than a block away when the truck caught fire and they were able to extinguish the fire before a complete melt down.
@@BronorisPye thanks. the truck was the same color as yours and same rims only a 75. Hoping I can salvage the motor.
@@squarebodybuilder I know it may look bad after the fire, but your engine is most likely an iron block with cast iron heads. The only real damage is probably your external accessories like the carb, distributor, hoses, belts and any other rubber/plastic components. Drain the oil and pull your valve covers to see if any rubber from your breather or PVC is left inside. I’m pretty sure that motor should be salvageable. Good luck with your project.
@@BronorisPye thanks for the advice. It's just a small block so shouldn't be too hard to go thru.
Fantastic video!! Very informative!!👏👏👏
I got to replace both sides!!😢
@angelmunoz5019 - Wow…I feel your pain! Take your time, you can do it. Good luck with your project and thanks for watching!
thanks i gotta do the same thing to mine but on the passenger side

GREAT JOB BRO...

HI I HAVE 2003 GMC SONOMA WHAT IS THE COST MAKE SAME DUMP
It cost me about $600 in parts and raw materials. Thanks for watching!
@@BronorisPye do you make mine lake yours I live on stockton ca how much u charch fix my truck please
What year is your truck?
‘84
Thanks for the video. I have an 82 long bed that both my bed sides are rusted, slightly dented up and one even has a small part cut off right behind the wheel. I'm guessing it was rusted so bad they just cut it off. Either way, I figure it'd be better off in the long run to just replace the entire panels than patch it like an old quilt my gramma made.. On the reassemble, did you have to weld anything or just use bolts? I plan on just buying all new bolts too, so they are nice and clean. I don't want any squeaks or rattles if I can help it, This truck will eventually get painted and be a side ride just for car shows and cruising, not so much a daily. Also, how durable good is that EDC or EDP finish? I'm wondering if/what I should put over them. It'll likely be a year before I get to get it painted. Thanks again for you time and advice.....
@ Invisalink Missouri - There are a few tack welds at the base of the end post near your tailgate. It would be great if you could tack your new panels in the same manner as the originals. If you are not concerned with alignment or possible structure support down the road with regards to your tailgate, then I can see foregoing the tack welds. After you install the panels, the EDP coating will only remain temporarily, before Mother Nature starts to work on it. Hope this help and good luck with your project!
Good work! Would the same process apply to a 1991 Chevy G20?
I think so, but I’m not a 100% sure. Go to vintage air website, enter your vehicle information and download the installation instructions for free! Good luck with your project!

Looking good! Are the TMI dash and door panels worth the $$$? I've checked the price.
@Reb Fan - I personally believe they are worth the price if you are looking to update your interior. The stitching and quality of material is very good. The pieces fit like factory. I’ve had custom interior work before and this is the next best option. Good luck with your project and thanks for watching!
@@BronorisPye Thank you for your reply.
Any updates? How is the system working out for you so far?
@ Curiousum Scientia - it’s been a year since I installed the system and I was thinking about doing a follow up video. In a nutshell the Sniper unit is great! There’s no way I can go back to a regular carb after having this EFI. There was an issue approximately 8 months after the install (a bad injector). The unit was returned to Holley and they replaced the bad injector at no additional cost! You may not hear about the good things Holley do for their customers, but regardless of what others say about Holley, they stand behind their products!!! Thanks for watching!
@@BronorisPye Dear Bronoris, I am glad the system has worked out well for you. I am looking to install the Holley sniper 2GC on a 1974 Merceds SL450. I hear you on Holley and standing behind their products. I went to an event they sponsored last year called Holley High Voltage and they had many of their management team there and the individuals we see on their RUclips videos showing how to install their products. They were very easy to talk to and really are enthusiasts. I did an install of a Sniper along with my friend on his 1972 Toyota FJ40 but once we got it running and he drove the vehicle, he realized the car wasn’t for him and sold it so we never got to see how the Holley self-tuned or was like day to day. I enjoy your videos and if you ever do a follow-up I would enjoy watching.
