I believe when it says “ from the collector” they mean from where all four exhaust pipes come together. I think you have your sensor to far back. I may be wrong.
@ old school chevy guy - Thankfully I confirmed this with Holley prior to the install, but there is some room for interpretation. The instructions state: "If you have long tube headers, mount the sensor approximately 6-10” after the collector." I went with 8" and the truck has been running great. Thanks for watching!
Dang dude I really love the content but if you could explain what and why also give us some after the fact reports like hows the drivability now (responsiveness) all that would be awsome!
@ Curiousum Scientia - it’s been a year since I installed the system and I was thinking about doing a follow up video. In a nutshell the Sniper unit is great! There’s no way I can go back to a regular carb after having this EFI. There was an issue approximately 8 months after the install (a bad injector). The unit was returned to Holley and they replaced the bad injector at no additional cost! You may not hear about the good things Holley do for their customers, but regardless of what others say about Holley, they stand behind their products!!! Thanks for watching!
@@BronorisPye Dear Bronoris, I am glad the system has worked out well for you. I am looking to install the Holley sniper 2GC on a 1974 Merceds SL450. I hear you on Holley and standing behind their products. I went to an event they sponsored last year called Holley High Voltage and they had many of their management team there and the individuals we see on their RUclips videos showing how to install their products. They were very easy to talk to and really are enthusiasts. I did an install of a Sniper along with my friend on his 1972 Toyota FJ40 but once we got it running and he drove the vehicle, he realized the car wasn’t for him and sold it so we never got to see how the Holley self-tuned or was like day to day. I enjoy your videos and if you ever do a follow-up I would enjoy watching.
@@BronorisPye I read the orange wire on the harness is used for that. Connect it through a relay along with the 12v ignition as well as the 12v power for the compressor and the Efi system with correct for load.
@@onlyontv WOW!!! I was focused on the basic setup and wired both electric fans and the tachometer, but never considered the A/C option! I completely glazed over that option in the instructions. That’s Awesome. Thanks for the tip!
@@BronorisPye You’re very welcome. Give me an update if you decide to do this. I just got mine today and will be having it installed in June and really want to know how well it works.
Great work and thanks for discussion on this comment thread about ac kickdown and throttle extension lever.
You are a brave and talented man!
I can only change my oil and put air in my tires once every six months! 😁
Great video!
You can do it! Thanks for watching!

Any updates? How is the system working out for you so far?

@@curiousumscientia3648 Thanks for the words of encouragement and good luck with your project!
Any rpm issues when A/C kicks on?
To compensate for the RPM drop when the A/C kicks on, I had to raise my target RPM up just a tad bit. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
