Just as you stated, it can be just one moment on that first solo flush/retrieve. The light switches on, and from then on they know exactly what we are out there for. Beautiful to witness. as a hunter Pheasant hunter of both SD and ND I have pushed cattails as well BIG SUGGESTION where eye protection a cattail in the eye is not fun from experience

This guy makes me less fearful to ask for hunting access. If you do that in most places in Ohio, you'll probably get cussed out half the time.
