I got this recently since I started recording more of my guitar playing for my music. Loading up guitar pro 6 felt like a whole new world opening up, aside from my CPU being fried. The presets alone and how they made it so easy to search for the sound you want... The future is now.
@@ThisIsOnesto Thanks to you. I always keep an eye on your videos. Your channel deserves and will get more attention with time, so keep up the good work.
Got Guitar Rig 7 when it was in sale, its a lot of fun! But I wonder, can You assign a footswitch to change presets, that would be nice for practise to change from a clean tone to distortion.
@@naybkorhk76djayy66 you don't need a guitar at all. You can use guitar rig on any sound, using audio or MIDI. Even though it's called guitar rig, try to see it more like a multi-effects plugin. A lot of the effects in here are typically used with guitar, but honestly, this plugin has so many effects now, it's hard to just restrict it to guitar.
@@naybkorhk76djayy66 nice that's great. You would not need a reamp box, but if you're referring to a audio interface, you don't need it for guitar rig, but I'd recommend it in general
Very heavy - CPU & RAM killer program ... Windows 10 21H2 16 GB RAM, I5 9500 3GH: Twang Reverb - FD Aurura 1 preset: standalone and vst2-vst3 intermittent sound, the power button in the upper right corner of the program automatically opens and closes. Many presets also behave the same
I dont have GR6Pro but was considering it, if you get the pro version are there things you still need to buy (add ons) to access things the program itself may not include? I had podfarm and got frustrated always seeing another "pack" I had to buy to access tones and heads in user created tones. Also how did you add in the guitar or piano sounds that you were editing in GR6?
I know exactly what you mean. With GR6Pro, once you buy it, you get access too everything in there. There's no add-ons to buy. And usually with NI, all updates are free until they would release GR7Pro. When it comes to the guitar or pianos, I believe in this example I was dropping in samples from Splice.
it's insane and eerie. when i picked that sample I thought, "oh that sounds nice for a background track" and then years later it's like THE sample. oh well haha.
Thanks! I really really appreciate these kinds of comments. I'm even dorky enough to keep them in a folder to look back to. It's easy to second-guess yourself constantly with a YT channel, so comments like these encourage me tremendously.
Hey Thanks for the video! I just picked up 6 Pro and can't wait to dig into it. I did try to mess with it a little but my CPU usage goes through the roof. I am running it off my laptop and I have all my sound library on an external SSD, so I'm curious if you could point me in a direction of why this would happen? I was thinking maybe up my RAM? Anyway thanks again and have a good one!
Oh sweet, hope you're having fun with it so far! Guitar Rig 6 can be quite CPU intensive, especially with the more effects you insert and there's some Amp/Cabs that are CPU heavy. If I had to guess, it is not your RAM, but rather your CPU. I also don't think that there's currently an Eco-Mode or something like that too lighten the CPU load. Hope this can give you some clarity!
Hey mate, great work from you. Can you help me find steve vai preset or setup with guitar rig 6, any idea where to find or start for the love of god sound? I appreciate your help indeed !
Hey! Glad you liked the video. I think I found something that might help. Go ahead and check this page out, there's a ton of presets here so you may have to do a CMD+F or CTRL+F to find it: www.native-instruments.com/en/community/user-libraries/guitar-rig/
thanks for the review i was thinking whether to buy this. After seeing your review bough it man. thank you. and wated to ask whats the vocal effect that you use in this video?
Nice! It's great that this video could help you make that decision. I hope you have a ton of fun with it right out the gate. It's a solid plugin. I think the preset on the vocal is called, "Vocal Space". It sounded pretty good, huh?
What you're hearing there is actually a sample I pulled off of Splice. It's called, SFP_Kit_3_Break_Chunky_ChorSFP_160_Emin. Sorry, that's the best I can do.
In short, yeah it does. The biggest difference is that Guitar Rig 6 adds a lot more effects, amps, and cabs. There's also some nice UI/workflow changes, but for the most part if you have GR5 and are happy with it, you can skip GR6 and maybe wait and see if GR7 introduces more features and effects that you're more interested in.
Yeahhhh! I bet this sounds great on Pianos. If you want another cool FX rack I would check out Bias FX from Positive Grid. I think they have an even bigger selection of amps and effects that Guitar Rig 6.
I understand the frustration. It makes sense to expect a lot of guitar demos from this video. Still I decided to make this video because I figured there'd be a lot of people who don't know how to play the guitar like me but were still curious about Guitar Rig 6 Pro. So although this video may not be for you, I'm hoping that it helps other non-guitar players out there.

Great demo for one of the best guitar plugins out there. Thanks. Keep going.
Thanks man! I always feel like I did an extra good job when a guitarist gives this kind of feedback. It means a lot.
1:25 Wow! What it does for Vocals is astonishing! What an amazing sound.
And that’s just one of the vocal presets. Guitar Rig can do a whole lot more!
Bro used the Espresso loop before it came out...
Cool
I know how to pick em? Or maybe just everything Oliver makes is perfect?
Such a killer plug in, use it all the time. Guitars, violins, vocals, anything really.
I agree. I really think NI should change the name, because it really works for so many other sound sources. Thanks for watching!

Hi . Everything seems to be in stereo. How do I record a mono guitar track so I can have it left or right? Thanks
Hi - your video on using expansion packs and this are too good. In fact better than NI themselves.
I learned a lot. You are too good.
Woah! Thanks for those kind words. I pretty much try to make the videos that I wish I could watch. Hope any future videos can still help you a ton.

is there any Mix button for the whole rack ?
I just checked and couldn't find a mix control for the whole rack. In that case you may need to create a send as a way to "adjust the mix"
