been interested in Indian scout bobbers for a few year , this video really help clear things for me. I never been a rider before so I’ll take and pass my dmv exam and be on my way
@@isaiahmartinez4671 good luck with the exam! I loved this bike, and compared to all of the other bikes the two of us have owned, my Indian Chieftan was the only bike I liked more. Enjoy the road and ride safe!
I literally was thinking about buying a Grom, FZ-07, or a Scout Bobber. Cool to see you have a first hand point of view on all o them. Good choice in bikes btw.
Hey a review from my neck of the woods 😁 sounds like we are close. Also been talking to Vicki in Elkhart 👍The Scout is definitely my next bike. Debating on selling the R6 or trading in for a scout. Not ready to pull the trigger yet but close. Maybe catch ya around Red Arrow sometime. ✌
I DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT DIFFERENCE MAKES TO HAVE THE GP SHORTYS, THEY DONT HAVE A BAFFLE, ITS THE SAME AS REMOVING THE STOCK PIPES AND TURN ON THE BIKE THAT WAY, AM I WRONG?
I think if you add the extended pegs like I did it would help a lot. I still scrape the pegs often but the exhaust not so much since they are shorter pipes. It’s a low bike though, so expect to scrape more than most bikes!
Thanks for the review. How does the Scout compare to the FZ07, in terms of performance? I also have an FZ07 and I'm looking to get a Scout, but am a little concerned I might be taking a step back in terms of power/performance...would love to know your experience.
Surprisingly, the Scout is almost as fast as the FZ07, just without the wheelies! In my opinion, the Scout could be considered a power cruiser, but it’s nowhere near the Yamaha Vmax or similar bikes. I would say if you want a cruiser style bike with good power go for the Scout, but if you want a more performance oriented bike to do wheelies and hit twisty roads, the FZ07 would be a better contender. The Indian WILL scrape past around 30° of lean, so keep that in mind too. Best thing to do is test ride one and see for yourself! I personally think I made the right choice, but I definitely miss the Yamaha at times.
@@nj7634 Thanks! That's great to know. I thought that might be the case, the power/weight and torque/weight ratios are almost identical for the Scout and 07 👍
I also went from an fz-07 to a scout and had similar concerns as you, but after 2k miles I can say you will have a blast on the scout and wont feel like you're missing power. You get the feel of the extra torque as pretty much all times, and the ability to rev it out relatively high for a cruiser makes it feel even more sporty than it is. I dont regret it at all
Nice congrats!!!! Interested to buy just like that, Do you mind telling me OTD value? This will be my first bike so don’t want get ripped off thanks!!!
If you start your RUclips channel then work more on video quality, sounds and video materials. My personal opinion it will be much better if you show your bike and comment video than just sitting front of the camera.
I have never ran a timed 0-60. As far as top speed I got it up around 125mph and let off, it starts to get a little sketchy that fast because of the seating position and stance of the bike. I’m sure the bike will go 130+
I misspoke in the video. The exhaust used is Radiant Cycles GP exhaust, not JP. Here is the link! www.amazon.com/Radiant-Cycles-Shorty-Exhaust-2015-2018/dp/B074THHJG8
@@nj7634 I’m 6/3 and would really like to get this bike. To me all others look like my dads bike an H-D but this bike changes all that for me but I think I’m to big sucks.
Sharts Game house I definitely don’t think you would be cramped at all, but it’s not a big bike. The size is right along with an HD Sportster. I recommend test riding one if you can.
@@shartsgamehouse7425 I'm 6.3 and I don't feel cramped. I go for about 4 hour runs and feel fine. Seat is uncomfortable. I upgraded to comfort seat and the 10 inch mini apes help too.
Definitely something you have to not give too much care about. I personally think the looks and feel of the bike trump the roughness but it’s all part of a bike like this. However, new suspension might be happening in the future!
Great video, planning to get one soon and those small pipes are exactly what I want!
Thanks for the review man, great looking and sounding bike!

Nice! Got mine in may :) Upgraded shocks, seat, exhaust, headlight and air cleaner. Next is a tuner. Enjoy the bike man, They are Great.
I plan on doing similar mods over time! Definitely an amazing bike, ride safe!
how much did the seat and upgraded rear shocks run you and is the seat aesthetic looking...congrats
I know this is a bit old, but what shocks did you go with? Happy with them still?
Indian just killed it with this bike! Absolutely beautiful!
Will get one eventually... Gonna live on Fazer 600 until then.
Thanks for review slightly interested in bike almost no dealer Network where I live serious serious problem
Cool bike 👍
Nice video review.

All I can say is the Bobber is my favorite bike to date, but I wouldn’t be the rider I am without the FZ!
thinking about getting a grom as my first bike then getting the bobber
Hey man, I’m thinking of switching to this Indian scout bobber. I currently have a MT03. Would you recommend trading it in the dealership ?

Id Check trade in with them at elkhart. They gave me a great deal on my fz07
I had a Honda rebel and traded it for a Indian scout 😍love my scout
Rebel 1100?
went with the mustang seat on my scout 60 really comfortable can ride 6 hours easy on it
Do you have a link to the seat?
@@lewis1180 got it at Indian dealer ship
is this a good first bike?
These are about $20k in AUS. And you don’t see many of them since they launched. 😍
Hey, they are around 18k euros in Europe :-)

Do you wear any leather/pleather biker jackets or Levi’s jeans in particular with your motorcycle??
Leather jackets when it's cold. Jeans all the time

Does Indian have a bike you can put a Fat tire on the back? I wish they had something like a Breakout that would perform on corners better
I know you can do a 240 conversion on the Scout bobbers but it will be upwards of $2,000
i rewinded 3 times and everytime it started on aaam, aaam
Can you put mid controls on it?
yes there is mid control options available.

Im 19, in college, and have a car. would you still recommend this motorcycle ?
I am 21 in collage and also have a car payment. It depends on your budget. I pay around $200. a month before insurance but, I think its worth it.

Now the question is scout bobber or rogue :)
Bobber looks better, but rogue is more comfortable
I’ve been keeping my eyes on the rogue for my next bike purchase (possibly). Definitely a good looking bike!
Dude I live in Michigan. Where are you at we should do a ride!
Battle Creek!
Thanks for talking 6min and not saying anything.Seriously which part of this video is "review" Part you added foot pegs? Exhaust?
I’ve had mine about a week and have yet to hear ppl mention that if you aren’t careful those bar end mirrors will fuck up your tank
They will only cause damage if you drop it (I know first hand).😂
