    I would get rid of the stock muffs and put on a set of grenades, wrap the header pipes, replace the rear shocks with adjustable shocks, and get a premium saddle. I would also junk the headlight housing.

  • @dacel88

    I bought this bike about 3 weeks ago and here are my recommendations
    Comfort + seat
    Bassani slip on exhaust (Comfortable yet louder exhaust with a nice deep rumble)
    3cm handlebar raisers
    Adjustable levers depending on your hands
    And this makes the bike ALOT better to ride.

    A1 on the bike 👌🏽. I think I want this one starting out. My heart was set on the Chieftain Dark Horse. But I also thought about how close I’m to my job. I’m about five minutes from my job🤷🏽‍♂️. To have a big bike would be weird to have. I don’t go any where, unless I’m with my wife, and kids. However, I’m sure if I had a big bike, I’d find a reason to ride somewhere. I live in Florida. We have SO many long roads to play around with. Maybe I’ll test drive one tomorrow, or so. I also was thinking about a Honda Rebel 1100. I just love the way the Indian bikes look. I’m new to the motorcycle world, and VERY excited to go motorcycle hunting🙌🏽.

    • @NoogaCowboy
      @NoogaCowboy  3 года назад +1

      Very cool. Yeah the Chieftain Dark Horse and the Bobber are both great bikes with some major differences. Off the top, if you're new to the motorcycle world I'd lean towards the Bobber or even the Bobber 60 depending on your budget. The Bobber 60 comes in at 999cc and the Bobber is around 1200cc. Also, with the new Chief coming out, you might find some really good deals on used Bobbers. Spend some time on a Bobber and then move up to the Dark Horse. That would be my two cents. Thanks for checking out the videos and reach out if you have any questions.

    Pretty sure you mentioned some aftermarket bars (11:23), but I couldn't make out what you said. An aftermarket parts list in the description would be stellar. I've been eyeballing the Indian Scout Bobber as a replacement bike for a while now. I already have ideas about seat replacement (Corbin), and some slip-ons for exhaust (Vance & Hines), but haven't found good aftermarket bars yet. I would like something that brings the bars back some for a more upright riding position. Any suggestions?
    Edit: Went straight to the Indian website and found their "reduced reach" aftermarket bars which should be perfect.

    I liked your review seemed fair and honest. I’ve been looking to buy a scout bobber but I not sure on the size I’m 5’9” 215lbs some reviews I’ve seen say over 200lbs you should replace rear shocks for comfort and a seat. What is your opinion? I just look at cost of bike and then once you upgrade exhaust/seat/rear shocks your at about $15k-16k is it worth it? And I agree the exhaust is a bit much it’s too long. I’ve seen them with performance combat 2-1 looks and sounds sick! I’ve always loved the look of the scout bobber by far one of the nicest looks wise

    • @NoogaCowboy
      @NoogaCowboy  3 года назад +2

      I've always been an advocate of a louder exhaust. Instead of a full exhaust change you can go with some slip ons that will help with the cost. I'd start with replacing the seat. See how that feels and then look at the suspension. I'd recommend taking one out on a test ride. That's the only way you'll really know. Is it worth it?
      Motorcycles are not cheap. You might be able to find a used a 2020 Bobber with a proper exhaust and new seat. Overall, whether you go new or used, I think it is worth it. This is a reliable motorcycle and one of the most popular in the Indian lineup. Thanks for checking out the video.

    I am interested in this bike or the bobber 60. Would you say there is a noticeable difference in power? Like a 2k difference. Thanks

    • @NoogaCowboy
      @NoogaCowboy  3 года назад +2

      The most noticeable difference is when you hit highway/interstate speeds.The Bobber has plenty of juice when you get around the 70-80 mph mark. With the Bobber 60, compared to the Bobber at 70-80 mph, it feels like the bike is laboring a bit more. Around town you wouldn't notice any differences. Either way you will be happy but if you're spending most off your time around town I'd stick with the 60.

    Hey mate greetings from Germany! I rode one today with a Jekyll and Hyde exhaust and I totally get your argument about changing it!
    I m super torn between the Indian bobber and the Triumph speedmaster. But Dangit … the 100hp are just FUN. I almost felt like I was on a GSX-R when I hit that throttle!
    What is your opinion on the Triumph vs Indian idea? Do you think with 186cm I would be too tall for the Indian? Best regards!

Ibe heard good things about Dr. Beasleys matte paint coating as well. When washing the bike make sure to use good microfiber towels and soft wash mitts. Clean them thoroughly after each wash. The two bucket method will help as well. Enjoy that bike and ride safe!
