One thing I noticed when I was watching some crews train last week on the Yarra and again in your video is that for some of the time there are two of the eight oars who aren't rowing. I think from memory of the Yarra it was when the boat was going downriver - couldn't tell from the little in your video. My question is "why is this done??" Thanks!
