man im so glad i seen this.i thought i had the wrong part or somethin ha. good to see that it is the right steel seal and is possible . much appreciated

Glad it wasn't just me lol It took me about 4 hours to put in the same seal. The worst part is that there's no backing ring to bottom it out so you can put in the seal too far and have to start over again. There's also very little room to work.

My driver side axle's leaking. was hoping It'd go away with the new axle, but looks like I'm going back in to change that seal. I REALLY don't wanna do it but I'm watching this vid to motivate me lmao

Literally ran into all your same struggles when I did mine on my X. Couldn’t find the right size socket and went with PVC pipe. Still took hours to get it straight. There has to be an easier way to do this job. Factory tool?

Would it help to put the seal in the freezer for 2 hours before installing?

If it's the rear it will be the entire quarter panel but yes it can be done bro! Cars can be restored completely!

Just check if it's leaking through there if it is then you might need to change it.
