They leaked so test them out before putting them in your truck. Got gasoline all over the bed of our truck. You will pay shipping for returning their defective cans.
I wanted to mount water and fuel 1.75 gallon Rotopax on my Versys on passanger seat.I am wondering if there is option to do so using existing mounts in market...I don't want to overweight my side panniers and anyways they are shad so no mettle piece there..same for top box..
Looks like the Rotopax website addresses this somewhat - white containers are made of food grade plastic, but are not recommended for gasoline, they say.
in south America we just fill 2liter bottle with gas and funnel and put it in our bags. it is also common in africa. the bottle last for a long time.
Another professional job done by this young man.
Genuinely considering getting a couple of these for my small standard bike, just to tack on more miles in case I can't find a gas station
instablaster...
Is there a product out there that doesn’t make you touch a fill nozzle that is covered in gasoline? Similar to the sure-can ?
rotopax sells different spouts separately on their website!
Gloves
I keep a box of Nitril Gloves in my 4Runner especially for that.
Put a plug in the lid instead of the spout, keep spout separate location

Good to know, thanks👍

is there a difference between white (water) and red cans (gas) other than color? Is material and spout the same?

Thank you for the vidéo.
Can you tell me the dimension of the support plate and the distance between the holes ?
Thanks a lot.
Will it explode under direct sunlight?
No, it won't explode under sunlight. -DrewZilla
BUT...the Rotopax website warns you to relieve pressure in the gas can once per day, so...
Yes, actually...it’ll even explode if u brush right pass them too fast :o
@@rapid13 Once per day in drastic elevation or temperature change.
@@847MicRoss It was a joke.
So how much fuel can you actually put in the 1 gal container?
Is that a trick question?
@@patrickmchugh8039 I'm looking for a 1 gal gas canister that can actually fill more than 0.75 gal...
That’s what I’d like to know. I could barely get a quarter of a gallon. I was so pissed I was wondering if I did something wrong.
But where to mount on a sports fairing honda CBR??
Uh, that's gonna require some custom fabrication. -DrewZilla
@@RevZilla thanks for the response. Sounds like i need hard case storage luggage or some metal frames to mount this on.
These are great. I bought the knockoff for half the price and without the negative reviews Rotopax have.
What brand? Where did you get them? Just got a DRZ400 and looking for ways to increase my range.
All out fantastic design
Could you use the white container for gas?
no, but they make a 1 gallon for fuel.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to use the goddamn spout on this tank
Very helpful
So the longer the beard a person has means the stupider he gets ?
Yeah but not gonna work with a full size Russian man
