I love the extreme detail on your card show vids... most RUclipsrs that visit shows are more sparatic and show the "experience of the event" more than closeups on product for sale/trade. You picked up some fire! Love the Sweetness and Old Judge cards!
I was drooling over that green pulsar Sexton rookie! Also in that last shot there was a national treasures rpa of Zion, could have been low numbered looked like the patch was chunky. Still in awe over that last shot!

I know the name Tip Oneil because he's in the record books with that triple crown. When you said you were doing this project I thought it was a great idea, but I also thought Tip Oneil was one of the guys that you might never get. Well done!

That Tip ONiel Old Judge from 1887 is incredible! Unreal t206 binder at the show. The Honus is alright, I guess. Ha! How many millions just in that one table? Insane. Love all your vintage basketball pickups. Bernard King was a beast at Tennessee with the Ernie and Bernie show. Awesome haul man.

Some people like the history factor like I do. Can’t beat PCing cards that you rarely see others with. Just about everyone I know has a Bo Rookie, only question is how many? Or do you have an auto Bo? You don’t need a 10 in order to appreciate vintage. In some cases, cards a little beat up tell a story👍🏽

Steven Amen brother Bernard was literally the King. I love Jordan even though he killed my Knicks lol. LeBron is not my cup of tea though. I think he’s great, just not into his mentality of jumping ship all time when the going gets tough. 🤷🏻♂️

Can you imagine almost leaving, feeling tired, thinking of the drive home....and boom you see a case with all those rare beauties!!!!! Still can’t get over seeing it in person. The vendor pulled it out and the back was all scraped up. The card looked like it was coughed up by a cat, but it’s a rare beauty none the less. That made my weekend!!!

Not really. This was Friday, I heard Saturday was chaos!!! I made it a point to check it out as early as possible. Sometimes if you go a few days later, all the great cards and values are snapped up

James, you found a few gems and you’re pretty good at bargaining. When is the next show there? They have tons of awesome vintage and I’m looking for a graded Jackie Robinson with a budget of $500. Some of those cases had some amazing cardboard. That last case had some epic cards. I saw gem mint 10 52 Mantle once at a museum exhibit in Denver. Take care friend.
Oh yes I heard about that 10, being transported in an armored truck...you should be able to find a nice Jackie raw fir a great price. Graded might be a challenge. I saw you uploaded a HOF video. Interested in watching that one. I did mine last week. You should take a peek 👊🏼
@@elitehunters732, James I will check out your HoF nominations. Do you think it is fairly obvious to tell a real vs. fake vintage Jackie card? Yes, that card was transferred by an armored truck and there was a security guard standing next to the case. I was able to take photos of it.
KensCardboard there are a few signs to look for, a grader at Beckett filled me in. Smell 👃: should smell mildewed, feel : should feel wax on one side and cardboard on the back. Obviously with a magnifying glass you can see the print. It shouldn’t look like a scan laser print. Stock is another, get a card of the same set and compare. And also you can check for trimming that way. Maybe I should do a video on this lol 🤔

Were there any deals at all? I went to the Chantilly show in October last year and everything was way overpriced for the current market conditions. It was hard to find any deals at all, they were priced for market conditions as of today. Also any thoughts on the National?
There were a few, mainly for raw cards in which a grade wasn’t a point of argument. Centering were the issues though. I wasn’t too crazy about the eye appeal for the price tag. Vendors keep asking for current eBay prices, and as you know prices are too crazy. I’m almost thinking outside the box, and punting cards I’ve always dreamed of owning. I’m almost considering selling off some of my big cards and capitalizing on the current market. I can’t believe this is sustainable. The dilemma in selling is if the prices don’t come down after selling my big cards...ie 52 Mantle...I’ll never be able to own it ever again lol. .....The Nat’ls would be chaos given the state of hobby love and flippers. Covid would be the only reason, either it doesn’t happen, or people stay away. Let see in the spring how things are shaking out.
@@elitehunters732 At the moment, it looks like the National could go on but too early too tell. I agree, prices are completely crazy now, almost not even real. Even just looking from beginning of Jan this year, prices have been increasing even faster than last year. Anyway, great informative video. Provides good perspective about the hobby.

The vendor pulled it out and the back was all scraped up. The card looked like it was coughed up by a cat, but it’s a rare beauty none the less. That made my weekend!!!

James, you found a few gems and you’re pretty good at bargaining. When is the next show there? They have tons of awesome vintage and I’m looking for a graded Jackie Robinson with a budget of $500. Some of those cases had some amazing cardboard. That last case had some epic cards. I saw gem mint 10 52 Mantle once at a museum exhibit in Denver. Take care friend.
Oh yes I heard about that 10, being transported in an armored truck...you should be able to find a nice Jackie raw fir a great price. Graded might be a challenge. I saw you uploaded a HOF video. Interested in watching that one. I did mine last week. You should take a peek 👊🏼
@@elitehunters732, James I will check out your HoF nominations. Do you think it is fairly obvious to tell a real vs. fake vintage Jackie card? Yes, that card was transferred by an armored truck and there was a security guard standing next to the case. I was able to take photos of it.
KensCardboard there are a few signs to look for, a grader at Beckett filled me in. Smell 👃: should smell mildewed, feel : should feel wax on one side and cardboard on the back. Obviously with a magnifying glass you can see the print. It shouldn’t look like a scan laser print. Stock is another, get a card of the same set and compare. And also you can check for trimming that way. Maybe I should do a video on this lol 🤔

Were there any deals at all? I went to the Chantilly show in October last year and everything was way overpriced for the current market conditions. It was hard to find any deals at all, they were priced for market conditions as of today. Also any thoughts on the National?
There were a few, mainly for raw cards in which a grade wasn’t a point of argument. Centering were the issues though. I wasn’t too crazy about the eye appeal for the price tag. Vendors keep asking for current eBay prices, and as you know prices are too crazy. I’m almost thinking outside the box, and punting cards I’ve always dreamed of owning. I’m almost considering selling off some of my big cards and capitalizing on the current market. I can’t believe this is sustainable. The dilemma in selling is if the prices don’t come down after selling my big cards...ie 52 Mantle...I’ll never be able to own it ever again lol. .....The Nat’ls would be chaos given the state of hobby love and flippers. Covid would be the only reason, either it doesn’t happen, or people stay away. Let see in the spring how things are shaking out.

Even just looking from beginning of Jan this year, prices have been increasing even faster than last year. Anyway, great informative video. Provides good perspective about the hobby.
