- This video will show you the beach in Punta Cana (Bavaro Beach) all the way from the Majestic Resorts to the Hard Rock. After that, the hotels end! Along the way we found a lot of beach erosion. :(

Three majectic Resorts with different prices. Quiet scarry because nature wants to take over by creating Errosions. Take care as the warning says.
Yes, it look like rising seas and storms have taken its toll on the shoreline of punta Cana but otherwise the place is beautiful and still worth visiting! Thanks for watching
There are trees in forests and seaweed in the ocean...so I guess it is quite normal to have seaweed at the beaches. It is a lovely place to enjoy the sun and tropical atmosphere. I guess having built so close to the water, erosion is inevitable. Having lived in Napier New Zealand and now seeing the results of a cyclone there, building close to the water is almost asking for trouble. On one hand one wants to enjoy and experience such beauty, on the other hand it shows how we need to be aware Mother Nature has a mind of its own. Love the sound of the waves and seeing the children building sandcastles. enjoyable beach walk for sure. Gorgeous blue water. Thanks for taking me with you on your holiday. 👍🤩🇳🇿🙋♀🇳🇱
Hello! Thanks for coming along with us on our walk! We agree, erosion is inevitable but is the situation worse than it normally would be because of global warming and rising seas? Or would all of this have happened anyway? Not sure, but we were surprised how much the beach had changed when we walked it 5 years ago! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!
Thanks for sharing! Beautiful and sad to see. That area hasn't recovered from the last hurricane. The palms are thin and barely full. Glad I was there when it wasn't so eroded.

I booked the Colonial for this coming May. Can't wait to go. Will be my 4th time to Punta Cana in the past 9 years - absolutely love Bavaro Beach.

Lovely beach stroll Steve and Sue. Gorgeous blue water. Would love to stay at any of the three resorts! Enjoyed seeing the paragliding. Was that a red flag for swimming in the current in front of the Hard Rock? May have something to do with the small amount of people. Thanks so much for bringing us along.
Hello! Good question about the red flag but people were in the water so not sure if it was a warning flag. Also, still not clear why the beach was so empty in front of the Hard Rock since it is a big resort. Hope all is well with you guys...Cheers!

The only thing you can do is go to the nightclub, shopping area, and the casino over at the Colonial when staying at the Mirage. And there is a spa close to the Mirage that is shared by all 3 resorts.

Hello, Steve! Great video, looks so beautiful!! My best friend and I are booking for the Majestic Mirage for July. In this vid I heard you mention the humidity. Do you know what the temps and humidity are like in early July?? Thanks for any feed back can’t wait to be on that beautiful beach!!
In July expect temps to be in the mid to upper 80's. It will also be humid but since you'll be in the pool and ocean during the day you won't feel it. When we went in the late spring it was humid too but we only felt it in the evening when dressed for dinner. So bring light evening clothes! You will also likely see rain on the forecast for each day but don't worry! It is usually nice all day with a thunderstorm at night. Have a great trip! Its a wonderful place to relax! Tell out butler Elia we said hello and have a drink for us at the martini bar!
Hi both this was fabulous . That's a stunning beach with the palm trees there and all of the resorts there sound great . No seaweed ! I love the view of the mountains from the beach and it was nice that you met Chef Tony :) Such a shame about all of the erosion that is happening everywhere though but thanks as always for a lovely tour :) ~ Anna
I think the beauty of the place and the reasonable cost is why we see so many from Canada and the UK , despite their long flight to get there! Yes, we were surprised by all the erosion....over the last 15 years the beach always looked the same until this most recent visit. Thanks for watching!

Ya, the lack of people at the Hard Rock was odd. Still can't figure it out. Water temp was in the 70's but is warmer in the Spring. Still very nice to swim in! Thanks for watching. Hope your summer is going well! Cheers!
Hi Steve, How long is that walk? We stayed at Mirage in December and plan to return in December. Great tour of the beaches!
About 30-40 min each way! Its a nice walk but just don't go past the Hard Rock! Hope you have a great time on your return trip in Dec, and have a martini for us at the martini bar! Thanks for watching!

Great videos, Steve! Thank you for taking the time to create them. I learned a lot. Heading there on Monday, 4/3/23. I'm wondering... how long does it take to walk to the Hard Rock from the Mirage if you're not stopping along the way?
Thanks! I'm glad you found it helpful. It takes about 30 to 45 minutes to walk from the majestic to the end of the property of the hard Rock along the beach. Have a great time next week and have a martini for us at the Martini bar outside the Italian restaurant!!

Great video. I am going to the Mirage in April. I was worried about the beach because of the reviews regarding the seaweed.
Are u able to stay on the beach at the Hard Rock hotel or is that only allowed for the people staying at that hotel?
I doubt the Hard Rock would allow you to sit on their chairs but it's an open beach and I am sure you could sit on a beach blanket and swim in the water in front of the hotel.
Curious what the local beach vendor traffic was like. Can you share your experiences?
It really wasn't bad. They walk the beach but don't come over to you unless you make eye contact with them or wave them over. If they happen to approach you...just say no and they continue walking. They are not aggressive at all. But sometimes they have nice beach cover-ups and jewelry that are worth looking at. And don't forget, you can always haggle.... if they give you a price offer them 50% of what they just asked for, and then come up a little. Thanks for watching and thanks for asking a question!
Is the mirage beach be safe enough for someone who don't know how to swim? Like the strong waves and currents or steep ocean floor drop-offs close to shore?
No, none of those. Unless there's a storm off the coast, the water was calm and there were no severe currents or severe drop offs. But they also don't have any lifeguards there. So you have to be careful! Thanks for watching and if you're going on a trip there, I hope you have a great time!

When we were at the Colonial a few years ago and when we were at the Mirage a few months ago, the Tiki Umbrellas were first come first serve. You often had to get down early and place your towel on the chairs under the Umbrellas to get them. Hope you have a great stay....we are heading the Elegance in August and will do a full review! @@TravelwithNJSteveandSue appreciate the response. Would you know if they allow people access to food/drinks/pool if they arrive early morning? My flight lands at 8am and not sure if the hotel will let us in that early. I don't expect a room, but being able to lounge around would be awesome.
@@jackwhitetron Not sure what their policy is but on our last trip in January to the Majestic Mirage our friends arrived before noon and the hotel held their bags and let them go on the resort to swim and have lunch. The moment you arrive the staff are always willing to do what it takes to make your stay a great one! If you land at 8 am there is a good chance you won't be on the resort until 9:30 am.

This video was recorded during our visit in January 2023. But to be honest, the pool and ocean water was too cool in January. We returned to the Elegance in August and the water was much better! Thanks for watching and for leaving a comment!
