Lots of new condominium buildings being built and a few new restaurants and variety stores, but still too many empty commercial spaces waiting for tenants. Roads and sidewalks are in need of major repairs.

We must have been just behind you or just ahead of you as we were in the 24 hr drug store near Kat's Corner yesterday and when we came out a vehicle passed us which also passed you. The Riviera Bar and Restaurant which you recommended for the Dominican music is also known for its polish menu of pierogy and cabbage rolls.

Does that beach have free public access? And are you allowed to walk on it to where all the resorts are at? I was at an all inclusive last week and walked all the way to Cortecito Beach. Was wondering if I'd have access to it if staying at an airbnb or other private residence?

The full beach 🏝️ in Punta Cana is public - not sure what the easement rules are but this article goes into some depth with respect to laws currently being considered

The pier is not public - it is a utility pier for boats and tour operators

Pesos - you can buy them at your local bank before coming down - takes about a week for them to arrive at the bank once your order them
