    Great job Andre! My wife and I stayed for over a week at Costa Hermosa and we loved the area and the Condo. We travel and understand that it is not going to be what we are used to at home but the hospitality makes up for it!

    Thank you for the great video we just found your RUclips channel and enjoy your travel blogs. We love resorts and we also love staying in a condo for a few months we try to do both each year. We have never stayed in anything but a resort in Punta Cana but this is something we will look into. Much thanks...Viv&Darrell

      I will mention this to Maria Williams - she is quite knowledgeable - when it comes to real estate state, experience really matters

    Question: What's renting a property like this cost on a monthly basis? My wife and I just stayed at the Maleia Punta Cana Beach and enjoyed it, but having a condo with access to restaurants may be something we'd enjoy more. Thank you

    • @PuntaCanaTravelVideos
      @PuntaCanaTravelVideos  5 месяцев назад

      In Punta Cana, when it comes to renting, you get what you pay for. Decent accommodations would run $2500-$3500 per month plus electricity

    Great video Andre. Now I'm curious about your deal with staying at all inclusives in the winter. So can you elaborate on that a little? Thanks. My friends and I are thinking of going someplace warm for about a month in the winter.

    • @PuntaCanaTravelVideos
      @PuntaCanaTravelVideos  5 месяцев назад

      Both all-inclusives and condos have their pros and cons - but in terms of value, better to book in May/June for the following winter - the cost is significantly lower than booking later in the season

      @@PuntaCanaTravelVideos Yeah that's why we are looking now. What kind of prices are you getting for long term all inclusive stays and at what level of property?

    • @PuntaCanaTravelVideos
      @PuntaCanaTravelVideos  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@glenrivara2353we pay the prices posted on Canadian travel websites - usually Sunwing or Air Transat have the best rates - prices vary widely from year to year by as much as $10K

      @@PuntaCanaTravelVideos Thanks. Last night I was looking up prices for the Melia on Resortvacationstogo. The prices weren't cheap and the worst part is that the price for me (a single) was almost as much as for my friends (a couple). I'm going to see if prices vary from site to site.

      in Canada, flights and resort fees are sold as a bundle in Canadian dollars, as I understand it, other countries work differently

    Excellent work Andre! Are you considering a condo now or sticking with all inclusive?

    • @PuntaCanaTravelVideos

      Both have their benefits and drawbacks. I make my decision in the May-July timeframe based on reviews, past year’s experience and of course, pricing.

    Hey, im heading to punta cana with a friend and our 3 children under 5 for 11 nights in April, looking at an air bnb in either los corelas or el cortecito, which one would you reccoment?

    • @PuntaCanaTravelVideos
      @PuntaCanaTravelVideos  4 месяца назад

      I would recommend Los Corales over El Cortecito at the moment in terms of access to retail stores and restaurants. In terms of a specific unit, the #1 rule in these areas is that you get what you pay for - I strongly recommend visiting the website listed in the video description - they manage dozens of rental properties and will help you find one that meets your needs and budget.

    How much is the monthly rent?

    • @PuntaCanaTravelVideos
      @PuntaCanaTravelVideos  4 месяца назад

      Depends on the unit - but generally something of this caliber would be between $2750-$3500 per month

    that part of Punta Cana is lovely, but the surrounding areas are horrendous. The locals are living in poverty. Note the sudden change when you enter the Bavaro resorts area. I think it's appalling

      Yes, the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 is a developing country. But I should point out a few facts: I’ve been coming here for 25 years and have seen amazing growth and improvements in the standard of living. In terms of the Americas, the country is expecting a 3.1% growth rate following an impressive 2023 rate, which by any standard is quite impressive.

      I get it, but it doesn't change the fact that tourists are transported to a paradise while just a few miles inland, it is terrible. Even Jamaica and St Lucia are better for the locals. I think this is the worst I have seen in the caribbean. I felt very bad when I got to the hotel@@PuntaCanaTravelVideos
