Love the Poliwag line! Love also how Guts would have been less useful fully evolved because both Poliwrath and Politoed have their base speed reduced to 70 upon evolution.
not 2 years tho, this channel has half a dozen 2 million+ view's videos yet he didn't even hit a 100k, I'm just happy he's back to uploading again maybe that'll push the algorithm more and get him the subscribers he deserves
Today is a good day, a return to form, a style sorely missed. And I loved it. This was so fun, what an amazingly unexpected outcome from Poliwag, the absolutely most cracked pokemon in Gen 2 apparantly.
Enter the Unown be like: 10:58 - "We're at no risk in the opening half here, because Chuck forgot Ghost types exist" 29:09 - "Chuck is the strongest trainer in Johto"
“Tell me Rockets, was the scheme successful?” “Well… Archer, you see.” “Was it successful. Or not?” “We did as you asked, sir! We dumped Magikarp from the Lake of Rage into every body of water around Johto. The Poliwag community is ravaged. No ten year olds should be using them against us anymore!” “So… what’s with the hesitation?” “There was… one Poliwag. It…” “It what, grunt.” “It defeated every Magikarp in the pond. Then every Gyarados.” “…I see.” “But- but what are the chances of a trainer finding that one Poliwag left in the region, eh?” “What are the chances indeed. You’re dismissed for now. Return to base and wait until someone walks inconspicuously in front of the statue.” “Yes, boss.”
Guts reminded me of Jrose11 Poliswag run in RBY, that thing was an absolute monster there, and here Guts proves it again how powerful a Poliwag can be.
Geodude is a long time favorite and definitely can handle itself in Johto! This Poliwag is an absolute menace haha. You’ve successfully turned Chuck into the anime version of Lt. Surge because he clearly missed out by evolving his Poliwag 😂
Hey loved the video. I wouldn’t play with the strict encounter clause you made because a huge part of the fun is using mons you usually don’t. Loved your use of the card art.
Two videos within only a month (or a little bit over)? You truly have returned; fantastic to see. It'll be fun seeing these first stage Pokémon get the spotlight in this video. 0:39 - A rather small pool of Pokémon, an even smaller when considering the late-game placement of Larvitar. Shame there's no Mareep. As the one missing Johto 3 stage Pokémon, I'd consider it acceptable if you traded one over. 2:39 - Funny to consider encountering a Hoppip a case of good luck in a Nuzlocke, but it is true here; how fortunate. 3:14 - Though funny enough, if this was the latter Heart Gold/Soul Silver, you'd at least have access to Bug Bite. 5:32 - Lack of Oddish aside (though you did go at a poor time), your luck in these encounters has been incredible. I remember really wanted a Pichu from the Odd Egg as a kid, but never getting one. I think I got Cleffa both times I've played through Crystal. 7:22 - Congrats on a win against Whitney without a single loss of Pokémon so far. Incredible showing! 9:59 - That's a relief. It really felt like you were setting up a joke of getting Magikarp three times in a row. On the note of Poliwag, whom I used in my first Crystal run, I really like how you could encounter it on land and early on in Crystal. They gave it a new evolution in Johto and Crystal actually encouraged you to use one (and a bunch more Johto Pokémon through easier accessibility like Phanphy and Sneasel). 11:22 - Tragic; the first loss. You barely had chance to use poor Eight Ball as well. 13:34 - An your description of Guts the Poliwag bouncing up and down on Dewgong here is also brilliant. Cool to see Poliwag shine; those status moves are a blessing for these little guys. These guys are often used by the Gambler class and it seems you've got good odds. 15:09 - Yep, you and Kummakivi saved that city. It only took a couple hundred Earthquakes and most the buildings have been reduced to rubble but at least there are no Rockets anymore. 17:30 - Guts gets to choose when he crits; it's not even luck at this point. 19:51 - Apparently the universe wants you to use a Rhyhorn in one of these challenges. Perhaps it's your spirit Pokémon. Congrats on multiple shiny Rhyhorns. 24:00 - Wings' role for a good portion of this run has been as a ghostbuster. Funny to see this starting route bird continue to useful. 25:40 - A clean sweep of the Champion with just a Poliwag. Who would have thought they would be the star of this run and take more of the glory than even your starter. 26:29 - Good going on Erika for managing to put up more of a fight. Also nice to hear that Sirkorsky the Hoppip got to have a highlight moment again. 28:15 - I'm actually surprised here. Even with a full Attack boost from Belly Drum, I didn't expect Guts to one-shot Blastoise without a crit. Congrats on such a dominant performance with only a single loss.
0:50 Oh that's hard to guess. Probably, of those on screen, the Nidos or maybe Poliwag or Abra/Ghastly. I know that Ghastly & Abra are super minmaxed at least. I would have guessed Elekid or Magby otherwise. (If only they counted in Gen 2) I've used them, they're really solid.
I was thinking one of the starters, maybe machop or poliwag. Oddish Ws EDIT: Also, Ws for yourself, I barely ever see people using the 'same number mons' rule for big battles- I am by no means a nuzlocker, I just like using anime gym battle rules.
I don’t know based on BST but from usability Extremespeed dratini and Larvitar are some of my immediate guesses, and machop, all of them are mid-late mid game Pokémon, and all are great
Highest bst I guess Poliwag! Torn between it and Horsea Edit: Oddish? That's odd. I remembered Poliwag had 90 speed, so I thought that was a good shout.
Love the Poliwag line! Love also how Guts would have been less useful fully evolved because both Poliwrath and Politoed have their base speed reduced to 70 upon evolution.
Guts is absolutely busted
Obviously! That's why Heracross and Ursaluna-Hisui are so Powerful .
Idk Griffith is busted too
good thing abilities aren't in GSC
@@typhlosion7872 guts is in gsc tho
Never in my life did I expect someone would considers themselves lucky for encountering a Zubat in a cave, but here we are.
I've never included Zubat in my team back when I was playing normally. Recently after I tried several Nuzlocke run though, everything was changed..
Glad you're uploading again, I hope you get all the success you've deserved
He is active, just look at the second channel. These productions just take a long time.
@@Lamb666what’s his second channel called?

Guts was the saviour you needed in this run, I simply clap for the god known to us mortals as Guts
Love your runs, they're always so authenthic. And I love Poliwag too!
I don't know the nickname theme (yet?), but I love that Geodude's nickname in Finnish means "weirdstone" 😁
Ive missed these videos so much.
FJ has the msot relaxing and soothing voice, and getting to listen to his scripted stuff is so nice.
absolutely here for the enter the unown channel revival! loving the content and excited for more :)

Guts is absolutely a beast! What a thing to do, for first stage Pokemon only, a very difficult task to accomplish! So nicely done!
The return of the king and maybe we re back to regular uploads once a month. That would be fire
Just wanted to say, I absolutely love the nicknames you give your Pokemon
It’s always a good day to see a new Enter the Unown video!
The fact that I guessed oddish is crazy lol -- so happy you're back!
as someone who watched Johnstone get bodied by a totem poliwag just last week, i knew not to underestimate Guts the poliwag
Love Guts. What a hero
This might be the best pokemon content channel

What. In. The. Actually. F!
That was insane.
missed your videos bro thanks for uploading again!!
This was great to see from you. And I really like the overlay. Awesome video!

I was wrong on the BST,I will admit. Also glad to have the legend back making vids!
ETU new upload lets gooooo!!!!!! Absolutely loved this video :D
Can’t believe you’re back! Yes! Great news! Thanks for this!
Enjoy your content. Glad to see you uploading
babe wake up new enter the unown playthrough just dropped
Clair and Lance, two Dragon specialists, were defeated by a tadpole. Respect.
So happy to see you posting again!
So glad to see your videos again!
You had god in the shape of a Polywag!
One of the best in the game is back
We're so fucking back!! Love your channel and I'm glad there's more of it!
I'd have thought it was Abra, Gastly, Dratini or Larvitar, but ODDISH really did surprise me.
0:50 Oh that's hard to guess. Probably, of those on screen, the Nidos or maybe Poliwag or Abra/Ghastly.
I know that Ghastly & Abra are super minmaxed at least.

Finally my boy poliwag is being recognized!
I appreciate the geodude’s nickname
Guts is the Goat!!!
Also Glad to see u alive and able to make videos ❤
The Return of the King!!!
just started the video but i’m hoping for hoppip! I remember how good it was in one of your crystal clear nuzlockes
Stacked team for this one! Guts (while not dying) is going to live on for a long while
Haha when you asked the Base total i thought to myself: well it won t be some obvious choice...what if it s a stupid one like oddish or bellsprout
I was thinking one of the starters, maybe machop or poliwag. Oddish Ws
EDIT: Also, Ws for yourself, I barely ever see people using the 'same number mons' rule for big battles- I am by no means a nuzlocker, I just like using anime gym battle rules.
I love how the only death in the run was caused by the Poliwag evoline
First time ive come across a hardcore nuzlocke with the few extra restrictions you added and honestly I don't know how to feel about them lol
I don’t know based on BST but from usability Extremespeed dratini and Larvitar are some of my immediate guesses, and machop, all of them are mid-late mid game Pokémon, and all are great
Good to see you back
Guts making his namesake proud
Video quality is very good 👍
never sleep on the poliwag line, unless of course they use hypnosis
Yay. you're back!
Oh interesting pokemon challenges. I'll throw a sub this way
Hi, haven't seen you in a while. Whatcha been up to? Nevermind, I'll check out your vids
14:57 Maybe we should call Totodile Iroha Irohazaka instead of Azulagarto at this point.
yooo another ETU upload
Nice! Someone other than Freezai doing this kind of challenge :)
Who would win one tadpole or a full team of "dragons"...
Man bully an entire region with a Poliwag
I guess poliwag and the nidorans are the highest base states.
Jynx is an ice muppet. In case you need a good noun for her in the future.
Waiting paid off 🎉
You'd think that larvitar or dratini were the best because they are pseudos and you have to work to evolve them 🙃
23:10 disgusting nasty sweep
I just had a very similar idea for Emerald a few days ago
He’s back!
What I learned is that the entirety of Crystal encounters have extremely slow mons
Guts is a legend!
Nice to see a Gutsy strategy pay off.
Huh. I'm guessing this was recorded prior to the new year... because 2023 was the year of the GUTS.
You should do one where you only can do second stage pokemon
Highest bst I guess Poliwag! Torn between it and Horsea
Edit: Oddish? That's odd. I remembered Poliwag had 90 speed, so I thought that was a good shout.
OK how do you come up with your nicknames? Convinced you either watch a ton of anime or these names are randomly generated.
Oh hey! Welcome back!!
dang it i was split between oddish and poliwag but i ended up guessing poliwag NOOOOO
Welcome back!
Let's go another video finally
Polliwag? More like Pwniag!
Awesome video!
Now, imagine the power if they were a Poliwrath and Golem 😂
I wanna see poliwrath with the same combination
Going baby mode
whagagagaga YOURE BACK
"crystal's defender"...? Wait, people actually dislike crystal? Man, we live in a weird world.
Oddish appreciation comment
❤❤❤❤❤
Go guts!!
The bat
Geodude
So you can catch a magmar and hatch it to use magby?
No. Has to be 3 stages this game.
@@PokeMasrerJ when was magmortar introduced?
Edit. Nvm not till diamond and heart gold
Poliwag is busted lol . Who knew
poliwag clears
If I could double like it inwould
ODDISH??!!???!!
