A scope is just for role playing? Outrageous! :D A good scope (with clear optics and good eye relief) is worth its weight in gold IMO. You can't shoot what you can't see, good optics help level that playing field. Not the most important early purchase if you are new to airsoft, but definitely not just for roleplay/larping. Personally I used a Vector Optics Calypos 3x32 Illuminated BDC Reticule Prism Sight and find is very useful.
But RE the question of "best airsoft rifle for beginners", AEG for sure (this coming from a GBBR guy), just don't buy a rubbish AEG. You will outgrow it fast, and it will become a waste of money, and have low resale value. If your confident your going to play fairly regularly, invest in something a bit better quality.
My first gun was a G&G TR16, has been a great first gun for me so far 👍🏼
I started with a Well MB4414, don't do that, it's extremely difficult to begin with a sniper especially a well one when it's not upgraded. My rifle wasn't accurate and ut had missfire every 5-6 shots. When you begin it's difficult to evaluate how far is. The ennemy
I think the best to begin airsoft is to begin with an AEG. an assault rifle replica, i did with a FAMAS from Cybergun. With that you're nit frustrated because you never shot and get everytime out quickly and you can begin to train to play as a sniper, without the cost of an actual one.
Hear me, i buy a AS02, and i upgraded it. The spring, inner barrel, hop up cost me the same amount of money as the replica. After that, add a silencer because the inner barrel is too long, a scope and a hop up weel because it's important to land each shot on target and your sniper cost you nearly 430€ and you haven't got your ghillie yet. Oh and i forgot, i don't kbow if it's the same in your country, but were i live, in France, we have to have a backup ( a handgun) if we haven't, we can't play as sniper, so add as well a GBB ( because why not) and 2 mags. And you have your loadout fir 700€ minimum. So yes, don't begin with a sniper, begin with an assault rifle, which you transform in a DMR and after get a sniper if you still want to
just spend $100+ and you got yourself a useable aeg. you can even get a usable trishot shotgun for $50 and have fu at your local cqb arena. cyma ak g&g raider gen 2 (no reason for the gen 1 to exist since only $20 and you have the option of deans), Speca core, de utr, ca ecs2, Arcturus m4 all good options to start with. all $200 or less. you also need batteries, a smart charger, ammo, and face protection.
For my next time I actually designed to buy the gun with the upgrades already in it. Let me tell you a story of how I bought cyma plat mo5 and tried to put a perun in there.
Cyma platinum etu's suck. That us a a well known fact. You cant run 11.1 reliably. It will last longer than regular triger contacts on an 11.1 but not by much snd it was designed to use an 11.1. its supposed to be 25 rps and ultra snappy trigger response ootb. i bought a perun. I filed down thebgearbix and put it in there. I then tested the sectir gear and trigger and it was working fine. Then i trybto reassemble the hmgearbox the the antireversal spring escapes my grasp. I wait 1 week for a new one. Attempt 2. I piked the wires with the selectir gibing iff a puff if smoke because i neglected to disconnect the battery and ininspected it and eith a lotnof exposed wires, i decided unsafe. I get a new ine and apply a new sticker the sticker gives me the wrong readings all around. I lost the spare stickers so i had to order replacemwnts from th real deal airsoft. They getin a week later and i tried again because the original sticker wouldnt staybin the elesctor plate and try again. I l Same thing. I eventually gave it to my tech and even he couldnt get it to fuction correctly so when i gotbit back, it eas acting like it had an ak selector i reprogamed it to work hownit should. It was so fucked that even with the trigger stopnit would still shoot in safe it i had max trigger sensitivity. I jad to tone it down and now i have it set up the way i want it to work . Its pretty nutty but it was full of headaches
I'm about to buy a SR-25 and the best one is none of the cyma plat. And does for the Aaron, I'm going to have some professionals install it before it even gets to my house. The rest is on me because it's very easy to change out the inner barrel and the bucking fir a maple leaf. 10 min tops because I have to also change the tensioner to a omega tensioner because I'm going to be using a MR. Bucking. Essentially the lazy man's Rhop. Yes, I know some people have reported getting better results within an actual r-hop, but is it enough of a difference to make a difference. I haven't seen any conclusive evidence. I might have to shave down the Prometheus bucking. I have laying around sometime and to test this myself I'm just too lazy to by mostly going to have to buy another inner barrel and two identical hopup chambers. Just so you don't have to rebuild. I already know the perfect barrel to make it throw 0.45's way the hell out there without any sort of reverse joule creep

@@thekhoifish0146 for me, who live in the mountain it's more like Saboteur or White death. I would love to fight to Japan to play airsoft. There are any MILSIM in Japan ( 2 or more day and night were you play airsoft)?
