    The next model year will be very interesting. I think the competition is the Toyota Highlander.

      The 2021 Sorento looks really good, a few Korean channels have posted some full tour videos on it already and it's looking very promising. A good mix between the Telluride and Seltos in terms of design and features.

      Definitely a lot of value in it, no surprise why it's been Kia Canada's #1 best-selling vehicle.

    I work in new product testing. Not Automotive, I like buying something closer to the end of its cycle. Generally all the bugs are worked out, even the tiny ones after a few years and lots of customers. Trust me whatever product it is closer to launch the higher the pressure is get it on the market. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a 1st model year if I fell in love with it, but the safe bet is wait a few.

      I hear that! We often said the same thing about technology back when we first launched PRN and covered Apple hardware, usually the first year or two will be a trial phase, and the final year is almost always the best with all the small issues worked out of it. Mazda is a great example of this, making small refinements with each new model year, as we discussed yesterday with the 2020 CX-9 Signature.

    That exterior color is not imperial blue. Imperial blue is almost purple looking in the sunlight. I believe this is called blaze blue or blue blaze. Secondly this can't be a 2020 SX because i haven't found ANY SX's that have the 3 rows of lights for the headlights or the 4 "ice cube style" fog lights. I believe that was on the 2019 and 18 models. Or i should say exclusive too only the SXL trim. Also, SX's don't have ventilated seats or heated steering wheel only heated seats. So this has to be an SXL.

      I assume you're in the US, Canadian-spec vehicles are different than what's sold in the USA.

    It is an inoffensive vehicle but really no way I would get one in place of Telluride. They need to reposition and reseeding this as a two row to compete with Passport and keep the V6.

      Exactly, unless they have massive discounts on this, I see no reason to get it over other options.

      The Telluride is definitely a solid crossover, especially for the price/space. The next-generation Sorento looks to be a mix between a Telluride and Seltos in terms of design, adding some new features into the mix for this vehicle. I'm looking forward to see how it is!

    I absolutely love my EX+ V6, the only thing I dislike is not having any LED headlights, guess I should’ve got this huh.

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  4 года назад

      I think LED headlights should be standard for a lot of vehicles now, a decade ago it was a fun luxury to have but today they're really a safety feature more than anything else.

      The SX trim will get you projector beam halogens in high & low beams along with fog lights. Even though they are halogens they are far and away better than standard reflector headlights. Because they concentrate the beam too the road and produce less glare on other oncoming drivers. Also, you NEVER want too put HID's in a projector beam headlight set up. It would be blinding bright too other drivers. You could upgrade too LED's but the halogens should be plenty bright.

    I was too late in trying to buy a 2020 v6 model. Kia offered hefty rebates and dealers kicked in a nice discount. Today, you cannot find a used 2020 and if you do, 5e used models go for much more than what I could have paid. The 4 cyl turbo and dual clutch have been very problematic. Perhaps too much torque on a front wheel drive model. The AWD option sets you back another $2k. I am seeing way too many posts on problems with the newer Sorentos. And I am also seeing lots of horror stories on the Hybrid. And for those reasons, I might go with a Honda passport. I will take boring, practical, and reliable over unproven beta type vehicles.

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  2 года назад

      Definitely a problem across the board as automakers are still struggling with supply. I wasn't impressed with the new Sorento PHEV, and we did have an issue with the ICE Sorento we drove earlier.
