I love the design of the PID light, especially the position of the paddle switches. BUT! Why did they make the springs on the switches so strong?? I have a Streamlight on another gun and the switches are very easy to operate. However, the paddles on the PID are extremely difficult to depress. You end up pushing the gun sideways just pressing the buttons. I'm somewhat disappointed and none of the reviews ever mentioned this.
Not yet to be honest I haven’t looked that hard I keep the pid on a gun in my bedside safe. If you already purchased I would look into a custom kydex place they might have it. If you haven’t purchased and you can wait a few months there is a new light coming out that will have pretty much the surefire profile dead on and is being made by a great company.
Alpha omega has a kryfos light bearing iwb and all their light bearing holsters have the option, alien gear has a new photon holster that might work and safari land makes a few.
@@randyreviewsit I hear ya. I think QD light is kinda pointless. SF x300 B is the better version IMO. The A isn't really too secure. Also, dual fuel seems pretty dated. All the other top manufacturers are on 18650/350.
@@BrothaGoodReps yeah the qd is nice depending on your holsters and carrying options. Some people only have the 1-2 guns so the qd makes sense for them. The cr123 option with dual fuel makes sense to the people that are using nods on the regular… down the road I am sure the rechargeable route will be the only thing needed but right now dual fuel is still a bonus.
This looks like the PID is closer to the profile of the Streamlight TLR 1 HL. The switch does look like an improvement over the TLR 1 HL switch.
Yeah it definitely looks like the stream light footprint, will double check because I swore their website still says surefire footprint compatible
It fits my Tlr-1 HL holsters perfectly!
Unfortunately it doesn’t fit mine lol
Great video. I'm going to pick up one of these lights after watching your review. Question, who makes the grip tape on your pistol. It looks clean.
That is just the shadow systems texture
Thank you

@@GaryGiffinif you haven’t found anything yet. Look up Bordertown Holsters.
@@GaryGiffin Try BGs holsters
7/10 isn’t that great a score for all the great stuff about the light…
The light could be dual fuel, quick detach and adjustable depth and then it would be a 9.5
