Just some context: the voice notes in My Little Love were from when her phone when her therapist wanted her to record the conversations she was having with her son. They wanted to make sure that their son wasn't affected too much by the divorce (hence why they now live next door to each other despite being separated, and so on). But the last voice note was a voicemail she left on a friends phone while having a panic attack.

My Little Love and To Be Loved DESTROYED ME. there were times i had to pause the songs because i lost it and didn't want to miss parts of the song. Adele has the ability to not only be honest and have the lyrics be relatable but i also feel empathy for her at the same time. Some artists really make you feel for them in a personal way with their songs. They don't just work their asses off and want us to relate to their lyrics but some of them really want us to know their story and that's important too.
"I drink wine" was originally 15 minutes long, but I'm sure we would've die anyway. :')

The 2nd anniversary of my best friend (of 15 years) passing by suicide is this week and I have been struggling with my depression and anxiety. I listened to “Hold On” and it felt like my heart and mind needed it. I played it on repeat for my walk to clear my head.

Two minutes into the video, before even hearing any music , I have an appreciation for this guy. He did some research and got some background info on Adele before hearing any of the album. Giving him some context. I respect and appreciate that for an individual doing a review. Otherwise sometimes the music may not make sense or resonate, and it still may not, I haven't watched his reaction yet, but at least he gives himself a chance to possibly see the masterpiece I believe this album is. Ok, back to his reaction now...

You’ve never seen her SNL guest musician version of When We Were Young? You are in for a treat! She was asked in an interview who she pointed to in the audience and she spoke of a childhood friend she’d reconnected with that was in the audience that night. It is so beautiful, hopeful, and my favorite of her live performances.

I'd suggest George Michael as an artist with 4 consecutive top albums. In a way, he's similar to Adele in storytelling... not the same obviously... but both take their time with their albums and don't really put out anything that isn't good, and the albums are very authentic and personal, yet in so many ways universal.
Interesting you mention him.... She did his tribute at the Grammy's and famously did a false start. Can I Get It reminds me of some of his work.

This was such a good delve in to the lyrics and the meanings behind them. I also love how each song connects to song before, she sings through a feeling then once she's acknowledged it or accepted it for what it is she moves on to the next feeling and starts fighting the next fire with the same honesty (if not more) Its an absolute masterpiece.
I have been watching every review 😅👀 and everytime I hear and understand something different and more to a song. Like wine drunk I don’t think I appreciated it as much my first listen but yeah omg so many nuggets!! Definitely an album that deserves multiple listens.

Love is a game a perfect homage to the sound of Marvin Gaye and the soul movement 1960s and 1970s and soul train.

Awesome review/reaction #Easyonme is actually for her son, explaining to him why she had to give up and went with a divorce. She is simply asking him to be easy on her with her decision for her own happiness despite the consequences her son may come around. It explains well in the 2nd verse.
In 2nd verse, she says "You can't deny how hard I've tried. I changed who I was to put you both first//But now I give up"
She even gave her ex-husband a house right by hers so he could have the best of both parents.
Adele's pen game is unparalleled. I'm a diehard Lady Gaga fan but I've had this album on replay more than I did with Chromatica.

Washing her hands in the water looking for gold, I take as she put so much into her relationship with Simon and she wasn't getting anything out of it.
This album devastated me. My takes… some of the songs feel like 2000s rom com montage music and I love it to death, can I get it chorus is too Shawn medezee for me, my lil love ripped me to pieces. The whole album sounds like a soundtrack. It’s so much more then just songs- it’s a full production

Love the attention to the lyrics. I'm still noticing new appreciation in this album with each listen and songs I didn't immediately connect with, I'm starting to understand more within the context of the album itself. As for other artists who have consistency, hmm, I think Florence + The Machine has consistently been able to maintain their essence but build on their previous body of work with each new album. The albums have a throughline of the lead singer --Florence Welch's, life at each time and the production and lyrical content of the music and songs match that story even if it's not always as explicit as Adele's writing style. I also think that Bruno Mars has steadily improved, too, but you're right that it's definitely less common and I think that may be due to the industry profiting off of pushing singers to create albums on extremely tight deadlines.

if no one hasn't yet, id like to recommend that her 30 and 25 albums have bonus tracks if you picked up the target edition.
