The only thing about universal remotes is the problems are universal... not that much more for a Lift-master replacement remote... and it works.
Legend has it, the new code is 1112 now.

Seems like someone can easily get a universal remote and program it your garage.
Only if they have access to the door opener itself, which has the "program" button. So keep your garage door closed and locked to prevent this.
Cheapest I could find it on eBay.. $17. Hope it works!
What if one of the numbers comes off the keypad, nobody has mentioned that. It happened to me.
Wild guess, but thinking you had something in front of the safety sensor....
Thanks for the comment but nah, it was just worn our buttons on the keypad and I needed a new one. Once I replaced it, the door worked fine again.
My keypad will put the door down, but not up. It’s from 2003, so I expect it’s the keypad is just wonky. Never replaced a battery. Ok. Will try,
It is insane how bad the factory pad is, in cold weather it's near useless. it's not my battery, it's the soft keys. As much as i hate to reward liftmaster/chamberlain for a crappy product, if it's $20 for the slide up fake unit and $45 for the OEM one .. .just spend the extra $25.
