“Never wonder if that same pressure would’ve pulled you under” is my favorite line from the song, it’s SO good and sad.

Same, it really hits that feeling of the burden you're carrying being unseen and unacknowledged by everyone else. And the fact that she says it with a smile, with some big Genie-esque theatrics really seals it.

@@ItsNumber84 same. It’s kind of strange relating to a Disney character as an adult so kudos to the writers.
Also, nothing makes people appreciate what you’re doing like choosing to no longer do it.

I love it too and I think my favorite is how much is said in the very last line of the song, “ Who am I if I don’t have what it takes, no cracks, no breaks, no mistakes. No pressure!” Like, “Now Louisa, we expect you to never show even the slightest imperfection or sign of weakness while you carry not only the family but the entire village and never, ever let us down but hey, no pressure!” This writing is absolutely genius!

The donkeys are kind of a tongue-in-cheek reference to Luisa herself, as she’s “the strong one” and has to carry all the family burdens, just like a pack mule or donkey might.

Oh wow never thought of it that way! I’ve only appreciated their dancing in the background lol

I have never felt more attacked and understood in one song. It is my favorite. The music is so amazing.

I think the clouds was a reflection of having the weight removed would make her so light she can float. This is magic.

The flying through the sky thing is just for the video. But the musical number itself is supposed to Bebe like it’s happening in Luisa’s mind which is how they get to all the different places. She’s still singing the song to Mirabel, but all the places are in her imagination and her own takes on what the pressure feels like.

I absolutely adore this song! I would suggest for you to just react to the entire movie and not spoil yourself by reacting to too many songs from the movie before that as it does reveal some things about what will happen in the movie. That is just my opinion though, you do what you feel if right for you 😊

Dos Oruguitas but bring tissues! It's the first song LMM completely wrote in spansish and it's the song up for an Oscar!

woo! been waiting for this omg
this is my favorite tied with WDTAB ^_^
the visuals in this song really add to it and elevate it. my favorite detail is that whenever the visuals start to get really dark, mirabelle gets really scared and luisa notices and then the visuals get lighter/goofier. also luisa is saving/protecting mirabelle the whole song! it's really sweet but sad that even in her own song she is constantly looking out for everyone else, not herself.
edit: no, luisa cannot fly i think all the visuals in this song are just that: visuals. kind of depicting what she's feeling/describing to mirabelle
if you want to try to do them in order next should be Waiting On A Miracle followed by What Else Can I Do?

Dolores doesn’t have a solo, unfortunately! Which sucks because Adassa is so talented. She has a verse in one more song, “All of You,” but I would recommend you avoid that one for SURE until you’ve seen the film. The entire song is one big spoiler because it’s the finale. (“Dos Oruguitas” is also a super spoilery one, it’s kind of the resolution/falling action scene of the film. Isabela’s big number, “What Else Can I Do,” is one that I personally consider spoilery, but others don’t.)
The only song you have left that I don’t consider particularly spoilery is “Waiting on a Miracle” - if you’d like to take a look at that one, it’s lovely, but honestly, as amazing as they are, ALL of the songs are going to be better in context! I’d recommend just reacting to the movie at this point! If you want to pull song reactions from that full reaction for individual videos later, that’s something you could do. 👉👉

Hey, can you update me on what happened to your reaction to Trail to Oregon and The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals, by Team Starkid? I know you reacted to them due to you mentioning them a few times in other videos, but i can't find them on the channel anywhere... Did they got blocked or something?
