Well, I am shocked... Absolutely shocked. Who would have thought that somebody that loves giant snakes and aquatic snakes would end up with a green anaconda? And, I love black headed pythons! I'm excited for you guys!

If you choose not to spay your female animal, you make the same commitment to her babies. If you can't keep a dog or cat (or any animal) anymore for financial reasons, try to rehome it to a family member or friend, or surrender it to a shelter, or at least put a fee on it (dogfighters and other abusers look for free animals).
Yeah I hate when people say they’re looking for a free pet for their kid because they can’t afford it. I’m sorry but I’ve had many many different species of animals and pets and NOT ONE turned out to be “cheap” or a “one time purchase.” If you can’t commit your resources, then I’m sorry, you shouldn’t have a pet right now. People seem to act like having a pet is a right, and I get it, we all love animals, but it’s not. Even people with money look for free pets too! My mom is plenty well off but she hunted and hunted to find herself a free kitten. And she still fights every time they’re due to go to the vet!
@@ohrats731 Yeah, it frustrates me to no end that people care less about pets that they got for cheap or free. Pets are more than their monetary value. I found a kitten behind a dumpster, but she's still my kitten, and she deserves as much care as a $1,000 purebred cat. I don't have much money, but if I did, you can bet I would be getting her the most high-end vet care I could find, because when I picked her up from a pile of trash and gave her a name, I made a promise to give her the best care I could.
Thank you for putting this info on to the web. I have rescued/ foster failed four loving dogs (from the Denver Dachshund Rescue and Transport) that have encountered serious abuse in there past lifes. One of my dogs, Sarge, was found in a horse trailer with a lot of other dogs (He was there for about four months). We took him in three years ago with a wound in his neck and scabs all over. We nursed him back to health, by then we already had three other dogs. But here I am now, sitting on my couch with all my dogs on my lap.

Name for the anaconda could be "AMARUN." (AH-mah-roon). When I studied abroad in Ecuador for a tropical forest ecology class, I did my final project on the green anaconda. Amarun is the word for anaconda in Kichwa, which is one of the indigenous languages of the Amazon :) I am not Kichwa or part of that community so I would do some research to double check pronunciation and all that. There are interesting folk stories about anacondas in Ecuador! Some other fun Kichwa words I learned (that could be names): yaku (yah-koo) = water Chicha (chee-chah) = traditional beer Sapu (sah-poo) = frog siki (see-key) = butt sacha (sah-chah) = forest iyarina (ee-yah-ree-nah) = memory/thought/love

Anacondas are so naughty lol! My friend has one and when he was a baby he was super nippy!! But with regular handling as he grew up, he’s grown into a long scaled dog. He’s got his own room with a pool, just a super cool snake

No you can't, milk is a glandular excretion produced by mammals to feed their young! You can can make whitish liquids using very finely ground tree-seeds (produced to grow new trees) but it is and never will be "milk" .

I don’t know if I’d ever feel comfortable buying an animal off of Craigslist, but I got a 4’ x 2’ x 18” PVC enclosure (with the glass and locks) for like $200. Still looks immaculate, and I can’t wait to have something to put in there. I’ve had the enclosure for over a year now, sitting in storage. I can’t get a snake right now for a few reasons, but the enclosure was just such a great deal and is one less thing I have to buy in the future

Thank you for such great videos. I have learnt so much about snakes since watching your videos. Growing up in South Africa snakes were always feared as there are a lot of venomous ones there. But you have really changed my feelings about snakes and I am totally in luv with them now. So much so that I am now a proud parent to a baby dwarf boa. He’ s brilliant and so glad I have him.

I don’t know if I’d ever feel comfortable buying an animal off of Craigslist, but I got a 4’ x 2’ x 18” PVC enclosure (with the glass and locks) for like $200. Still looks immaculate, and I can’t wait to have something to put in there. I’ve had the enclosure for over a year now, sitting in storage. I can’t get a snake right now for a few reasons, but the enclosure was just such a great deal and is one less thing I have to buy in the future
