    Can you do on all soul cores? Couldn’t find one that explain a certain group of soul cores that hits multiple times such as the Magatsu Warrior or even the meaning of the additional bars right next to the soul core icon next to our guardian spirit. I’m confused

    • @brentr9067
      @brentr9067 3 года назад +5

      The bars on the side are the soul core’s rank. Raising the rank makes the soul core overall better in every way. You can raise a soul core’s rank by going to a shrine and selecting “manage soul cores,” then “soul fusion.” The base soul core will be the one having its rank increased. The material soul core must either share its name with the base soul core, or be a mortal soul core. After fusion, the material soul core will be deleted and its rank will be added to the base soul core’s rank. Using a mortal soul core will also let you change the base soul core’s type, indicated by its color. Red is brute, blue is feral, and purple is phantom. There are various skills in the shiftling skill tree that utilize this.
      The max rank for a white rarity soul core is 9. Once you get to higher difficulties, you can encounter divine and then ethereal soul cores. These have a max rank of 20 and 30, respectively.
      As for soul cores that hit multiple times, I’m not quite sure what you mean. The Magatsu Warrior soul core in particular has two variations for its attack. The default is simply pressing the button once, which will use 6 anima and fire four beams. Pressing the button again before the last two beams fire will use an additional 3 anima and fire four more beams in quick succession. The other type of soul core you may be referring to are the charger soul cores, like Enenra and Scampuss. These will use their listed anima cost immediately upon activation, and then slowly use anima for as long as they are in use. To stop using the ability, simply return the left stick to a neutral position.

      I know I'm late, but if you mean the bars left and right of soul cores near the GS icon top left of the screen suring missions, purple bar = cost of each YA, red bar = charges left of that YA anima-wise, this is useful for cores that hit more than once depending on how many times you trigger them, ie, magatsu or nurikabe, or during yokai shift cause you charge each skill individually so you want to know how many times you can use said YA

    • @GTOfire
      @GTOfire 3 года назад +3

      Right!? Watching this is really interesting, like some do a bit more, some a bit less but would hit more enemies or are easier to hit. Then Tengen comes in and does literally 10x the damage AND 10x the ki damage of the others. (Edit: Ki damage looks like it's not 10x. Still probably more than the others, but it also broke the horn on the first hit, which does a ton)

    • @Rfranklinz45

      As mentioned you have to really rush him down and never let up the pressure. Punish his spinning jump attack with sloth talisman or anything that inflicts shock status to slow him down, then never let up the pressure. Scampuss helps a lot until you get confident enough to take him on alone. If you're set on using some GS against him, the area of effect ones are your best bet. Yumehami and Baku both sit in a spot giving you some area denial. Ho-Oh can also be good since they track his movment and provide area denial with the ground flames they leave behind. If you have "sloth onmyo hit" on your gear, this saves you needing a sloth talisman at all.

    • @werb---
      @werb--- 2 года назад

      Ho-oh can outright cheese him with the right rng. It'll usually knock him out of his flying swallow for basically free if he flies into the flames or bird hit box. Free final blow every time.

      It's pretty strange that it isn't an innate ability that you can use, the fact that it's hidden in the omnyo tree with no mention of it and there is no explanation as to what each of the guardian skills even do until you use them seems either that they rushed that part or some careless mistake. The animations are there and it looks cool.

    Hey guys, how to use spirit guardians skills? I don’t really know

    • @richardespinoza9989
      @richardespinoza9989 2 месяца назад

      You can use a talisman on regular items or on the omnyo tree, you can invest so you can use it for free. It’s in the bottom left I believe and you can use the guardian spirits. You can carry up to 6 talismans and they cost a ton so make sure to invest on omnyo and some capacity perks if you want to use other magic.

      You can use your guardian spirit ability with the method:
      1: Use a moment talisman, a consumable item you'll find while playing
      2: use the guardian spirit talisman, an omnyo magic item found in the omnyo skill tree
      3: use the same buttons to enter your shift while in yokai shift. This does consume some of your yokai shift gauge

      How do i switch from feral to brute spirit?@@grrman

    • @grrman
      @grrman 4 месяца назад +1

      @@volvo89577 When you access a shrine you can change your guardian spirit there. Each spirit is classified as either Feral, Brute or Phantom, which can be identified based on the colour of the plaque displayed with them. Blue is feral, red is brute, purple is phantom.
      Select a brute spirit there as your primary or secondary spirit (secondary spirits are unlocked about halfway through new game).
      If you are in a mission with two spirits equipped, you change between the two in the mission, allowing you to switch between whichever two spirit forms you have, both while just playing or while transformed. This is done with a similar prompt to how you'd switch weapons or stances.
      Hope that answered your question

    Tengen Kujaku is only worth using imho, that AOE damage is decent and can work through walls and barriers but it's still really expensive however with the right build it could be worth the price though.
    Like my Tsukiyomi/Semei+ build is decent for it because my Untouched Onmyo is over 73% and Empowered Onmyo is A with Switchglaive and Splitstaff, so even if I lose one I can get it back pretty quick and because of the AOE I can manage crowd fights easier, and Onymo effects like weaken and sloth from accessories applies to it as well
    It's also great for Revenant farming, spawn and pop one off to one shot them almost everytime on DOTN difficulty
    Genbu is okay for stunlock and kinda replaces what Daiba Washi in Nioh 1,but nowhere near as cheesy as that was.
    I see a lot of people using Ho-oh but it's kinda underwhelming to me because it 's only function seems to be priming for Purity

    • @Rfranklinz45
      @Rfranklinz45 Год назад

      Baku on a sarutahiko+empowered onmyo build is insane for lockdown on every enemy in the game and even fully stunloops a lot of yokai bosses by paralyzing them during zero ki

    I played through the game several times and I've never used them once, seeing how it's always a detriment to you - either eats up your yokai gauge or takes up space from more useful spells. The sequel was definitely a downgrade in this regard.
