This is how to stabilize shaky footage in any Vegas/ Sony Vegas 15,14,13 ect Fairly simple all you have to do is tools-media fx- stabilize.

This is how tutorials should be. I ain't got time to watch ads man, but going forward, I wouldn't mind it after seeing this simplicity of an explanation!

I just died laughing when I started stabilizing a clip and vegas immediately crashed
I think after 2 years it should resolve but if didn't, try disabling gpu acceleration, helped me
You are a life saver. I shot a short film for school on my Mi 9, which only has EIS, and for some reason the stabilization disappeared completely when I imported it to my PC for editing. Now I don't have to shoot the whole thing again, thanks!

okey , now im having some stripes in the video .. can you explain that maybe ? which options do I have to choose to stabilize without stripes

It zoomed the video in and when I go to Event Pan/Crop it shows up normal. How can I fix this? The smoothness did get fixed.

Thats how it works. It zooms the video in and then moves the frame opposite of the vibration, hence canceling out the movement

Edit: Weirdly, on my Vegas Pro 16 installation, does not have some effects and the 3d thing, installing another version was the fix

why does it zoom a little bit when you apply stabilization plugin?? is it default? can i avoid that??
I don't think you can avoid zooming in because of the way stabilization works. Stabilization is moving the frame up/down right/left to keep things stable and it has no idea what is just off screen when it moves the frame off center, so it can't fill that empty space. Zooming in solves this by cropping. The only other options would be to have either a black border or constantly moving ragged edges.
bought Vegas on Steam, and i do not see these options... there is just add video effects..

dude i tried the tools section/Video then the media fx is grayed out what seems to be the problem??
you have to select your video clipp first, jsut click on it and leave the sticker on the clipp

You have to click on the media clip, when it is selected then you will be able to select "Media FX".

Nimble? Ha ha ha you mean gimble, lol. That looks rubbish because the crop factor of the stabilization is HUGE!!! So you lose about 70% of the scene.
