  • The Boss RC600 is capable of 'Bouncing' recorded tracks & loops over to any unused track, similar to doing a 'Mixdown' on a multitrack recorder or any DAW based studio software. It's main purpose tho, remains a bit of a mystery to many Live performing artists, and most people are not using the Bounce function in a live show.
    This video explores HOW to use it, and talks about WHY to use it and WHEN to use it. As it turns out, there are more than enough great reasons to look at this feature and try to understand how to put it to use effectively to add some great 'tricks' to your live show & make you a more versatile performer!!

    This is a really cool way to use this. I picked one up today and spent all day just going through ways to use it and this process never crossed my mind! Great way to make demos.

      Wow! I'm surprised someone identified that song!! When I first heard this song, it was Noel & the HFB doing an acoustic version . .I had never heard of it before ... I really took hold of that version & became one of my fave songs of the Gallaghers ...
      I've been discovering dozens of their songs the last 2-3 yrs, as here in Canada, we've only heard a couple songs off of WTSMG ... I love ALL their songs now !!!
      Cheers my friend !!

      I know!! I am searching for a good 'close-up' camera that I can use for easier & faster content creation ... I had a hard time with these videos, and the best solution at that time was to use cell phone cams for those parts ...

    Novice to looping. I've been skeptical Boss RC600 usefulness for a Blues guy. BUT, your discussion of "bounce" feature convinces me to forge ahead with purchase. Kudos!

      I may need to relocate my studio again, as the space next to mine has been taken over by some loud rock bands, and they've been rehearsing almost every evening. I've been unable to find time suitable for my purposes ...

    i’ve discovered (and u might cover this on later videos) even if all tracks are full a smart player can bounce all tracks to any choice of track to make it a full mix, bounce the entire mix to a track u’r playing as full fader level for headroom/mixing possibility.

      I believe he means that you could also include a track that is already on the target track, as well as your live playing, and include them in the bouncedown as well. You can have tons of options at your fingertips ... or should I say, at your TOE-Tips !!! LOL

    Newbie here - on your main screen you have Rhythm Level assigned to knob #2 I’m guessing. How’d you do that?? Do you happen t9 cover that in one of your previous videos? Thank, these are my favourite 600 tutorials!

      Hi there !!
      If you press Menu, scroll right 3 or 4 screens, then select Setup ... scroll right one or two more screens, there you wiĺl find the Knob setup menu.
      Here, you can select any of the 4 knobs and select whatever function you want any knob to do. It is a long list, and there are many possible functions to choose from !!

    Hello. Does this feature not exist anymore with the latest firmware update?? I cant see that on my new rc 600.?

    • @the_michaelsphere
      @the_michaelsphere  6 месяцев назад

      It is there, press Loop, then Track ... each track has a 'Bounce In' setting.
      Then go to Loop /Record ... there will be more Bounce settings, when you scroll Right, to the end ...

    Hi Michael, thanks for the videos, iv been using the bounce feature for this exact reason also.
    I have a question - I want to stop and re-play certain tracks in the process of recording however it seems to stop the recording once Iv stopped one of the others tracks 🤔 is there some setting i need to turn on /off so that it continues to record when I stop/pause a track ? Thanks!

    • @the_michaelsphere
      @the_michaelsphere  6 месяцев назад +1

      I believe we need to find a way to do the Bounce process without de-activating any tracks ..
      The best solution I can currently offer is to 'Mute' instead of 'Stop' the track...
      While this can be done easily if you are not performing live, it might be tricky or impossible depending on how your Footswitches are set up ... you'll need to have a controller available to turn the track's volume down, then back up again later ... an Expression pedal can make easy work of this, not so easy otherwise ...

    • @danielmaguire8451
      @danielmaguire8451 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@the_michaelsphere Iv found a kind of solution today lol, if you set the bounce track to how many measures eg 32 measures on the track setting it will record for 32 measures, you can then stop and start tracks in between and the bounce track won’t stop recording until it has completed the 32 measures

    • @danielmaguire8451
      @danielmaguire8451 5 месяцев назад +1

      Also, you may already know this - when your tracks are on single mode , setting the measure to free on the bounce track seems to allow you to to record/arrange your single tracks on to the bounce track . Hopefully there is a a way for me to figure out next - how to start recording on a bounce track and start live recording your loops : performances in real time to the bounce track lol
