Because of Frannie, I adopted a little 7.3 pound Pomeranian female whose owner had died and she nearly starved to death. When I saw her picture online, I couldn’t tell what she was…just someone desperately in need of love and care. She had lost most of her fur from malnutrition and was so bitten by fleas she looked like she had mange. In 3 weeks, on a high OM3FA diet based on salmon, she was growing back healthy skin and fur. Six weeks later, she is actually looking like the gorgeous Pomeranian she is. I am so in love with her and her tenacity for life. She didn’t like the salmon diet and fish oil supplements so she is now on a high quality beef diet with collagen rich toppings I make loaded with meat and vegetables. (I had never cooked chicken feet or pigs feet! Yuck!) No complaints from her or my 11 year old rescue blind from glaucoma. 😊

I know how it feels.A rescued animal always knows you saved them. One of my little girl cats found me on the street. She came hurrying over, starved, little legs hurrying even though her belly was on the ground...crying and crying. I scooped her up, she wrapped her arms around my neck and hung on, and said "ok, you're mine". She was in very bad shape and so starved. Her insides were blocked by "guck" she tried to eat, so it was a huge blockage. I had her into the vet the following morning and they kept her for a week, on IVs for nutrition and fluids and she was able to pass it all. She is so affectionate and just loves cuddles, the vet staff brought in a baby wrap and she would spend the days in it, and as the techs moved around, they would drag her IV pole with them. She regained her health and was healed after about 4 months and now, 5 years later, is still stunning, affectionate and couldn't be sweeter. She had some PTSD at first, but after about 3 or 4 years was finally able to get close to a window and look out. I named her Co$ette. The name for the poor waif in Les Miserable, and the $ because of the small fortunate I paid the vet for a week's stay lol. Saving a furry baby is worth every penny, every bit of effort.

I never saw a chi that allowed their ears to be rubbed like he does. Chi’s have so few defenses that the ears are usually a hands off area. God bless them both.
My mom had a Chihuahua/Terrier mix years ago. This dog barked at literally EVERYONE who knocked at the door. I was there one day and saw a man walk onto the front porch and approach the door. 'Duchess' saw him too through the window as he approached and not one yap out of her. I was so shocked. Turns out he was selling books of some sort. I told him about tbe dog and her not barking at him and that he must be someone special.

My post woman loves my dog, Bella. She was scared of Bella at first because she’s an 80 pound pit lab mix. She’s a very sweet dog though. The mailwoman delivered boxes on Friday. Bella came to get me to go see her. She gets so excited. That’s the only time she can get out of the truck to pet Bella. Yesterday, I heard her tell Bella that she didn’t have time to get out and pet her. My fed ex delivery guy brings her milk ones. It’s precious. ❤

That’s a pleasure noise , chihuahuas are very snotty. Like tiny piglets. They make lots of different noises. They do growl . Mine resembled Franny.
They’re a lovely breed if you raise them right . Franny is adorable. My little gal used to sit looking at the door every day that I returned from work. Waiting . My hubby found this funny. She also knew my hubby’s car by the engine sound . Waited for him to come in . Very intelligent dogs. They can have issues but it’s mostly insecurities due to being tiny . They do overcome most of these after more exposure to people and places .

Animals can sense a good soul and a good person. I have a dog and a cat. My cat never hisses at people but one day I had my blinds open and I was in the kitchen and my cat was looking out the window and suddenly I heard him hiss and run to hide so I went to see who or what was outside and there were two men at my neighbors door. I don't know what it was about the two men, but my cat saw them hissed then ran to hide. Animals know when a person is good.
