Still is to this day.
The 3DS will always have a special place in my heart. It gotten me through my depression stage during middle school and early high school. My favorite games playing on it were the 2 Kirby games you mentioned, Smash 4, Sonic Generations, and Ocarina of Time 3D.

Great choices, Story of Seasons is an underrated series. I fear that people don't realize it's literally an expanded version of the classic Harvest Moon games, and the new fake HM are dookie
@@barfyman-wn3idStory of Seasons doesnt give the same vibe as Harvest Moon, the 3D was bad for the franchise, the only game that kept the vibe while being "3D" was the one on PS1
I like how personal your list is, it is very tied to your life in a cool way.
I remember being super invested in Super Mystery Dungeons story when I was a kid. I got past over half the game but got stuck on one part tho.
Nice top 10. I’m not into Pokémon or life sims so my list is a little different. Here’s my top 11 in no order: Captain Toad, Smash Bros, A Link Between Worlds, Ocarina of Time 3D, Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon, Kirby Robobot, Mario 3D Land, 7th Dragon 3, Shovel Knight, Mario Kart 7, and Hyrule Warriors Legends.
I'm getting back to playing on my 3ds after a long break, I got back into it like 3 days ago after deciding to emulate Shinobi (unfortunately I lost the card a while back), as I remembered it being a very difficult game. I'm currently still struggling on the final boss on the easiest difficulty XD, I'm not sure if its my favorite 3ds game but I definitely think its worth playing and I hope it gets remade on the switch.
Thanks for saying to play these any way you can. I'm watching this video cos I'm getting a new SD card for my 2DS on Thursday. I definitely need to have a go on Pilotwings, Luigi's Mansion 2, Mystery Dungeon and Animal Crossing. I'd have a really hard time making a top ten, my relationship with the 3DS is a bit strange I think. I added a few emulators and use it to check out NES, SNES, Genesis and GBA games that people like to rave about, that's probably what I like about it the most, I get to play ROMhacks and fan-translations too. I hope the nostalgia for the DS family systems grows and we get more hidden gems uncovered

Fire emblem awakening is my favorite 3ds game. It got me into the strategy genre. Also, the music, character designs, voice acting, combat, ett are really good.

I'm a big resi fan and loved that Revelations was a proper game for the 3ds loved it. Also loved the final fantasy theatrhythm games and of course being a resi fan Luigi's mansion dark moon.
I bought a 3DS only recently and I love this device!
it's the best thing ever, can highly recommend hacking it.

@@thelegacyofgaming2928 Well, obtaining 3DS games legally anymore is prohibitively expensive. Hacking is a great alternative.
Honestly one of my favorite 3ds games was Find Mii wish they brought back something back with street pass with the switch or if the switch 2 ever decides to come out but this is a great list that made me realize that the 3ds had an amazing catalogue

I think it's important to look at some of the games that never got physical releases. Pushmo defined the 3DS in the sense that it showed off Nintendo's support towards smaller creators, a lot of whom ended up making some really iconic, smaller-scale games for the system. But overall, a really good (and agreeable) list

I can highly recommend to check out the Etrian Odyssey series. It really is one of the best dungeon crawling game with a turn based combat that I ever played. Drawing maps by hand, doing quests, being absolutely in fear of the monsters roaming across the dungeon's tiles whenever you move, trying to avoid those, mixed with random encounters that can still mess you up.
It's nothing casual, that's for sure, but definitely worth getting into.
I’ve always wanted to get into etrian odyssey! Which one would you recommend I start with as a beginner? I think I’d really enjoy them because I love the SMT games. I’m playing through SMT IV for the first time right now.
Monster Hunter 3u is the only 3ds game I have played (I bought a 3ds for Monster Hunter specifically). But I definitely want to pick up a few others.

Shovel knight and persona Q2 are on top of my list
I was pretty late to the 3DS and missed out on a lot of its library, but I vibe with these picks. I still think A Link Between Worlds is one of the best Zelda games ever made. I remember also feeling really disappointed by Luigi's Mansion 2 after only a few hours, so I dropped it and never ended up playing the third game. It just felt like the vibes were off and I missed how unsettling the original game was most of the time. However I'm much more open minded now so I think I'll try to give it another shot soon, especially because I've heard nothing but amazing things about LM3. Nice vid!
Yes I totally agree with you about Luigi’s mansion! I think you should definitely give the 3rd entry a shot. While I don’t think it comes close to the unique vibes of the first game, LM 3 is definitely a great experience in its own way!

Its definitely one I am hoping to get around to soon! I really like all of the QOL features they added in the remake. I could never finish majora on the n64 much like ocarina of time, so I'm sure I'll end up loving the 3ds remake!

I first started playing 3ds a year ago... I dun have any fond memories about it ....but it's fun... much better than switch... coz you can mod it... I only have 10 genuine games... but with the mod, I can play the nostalgic gameboy games and familycom games...
As much as i love rpgs , thanks for sharing small games.though you could have avoided the nintendo exclusives (as they are present in all lists)

I recomend the monster hunter games, my first one was 3 ultimate and it was a blast i played like 300 hours solo and local coop
I really want to give the monster Hunter games a try. I played a bit of MH world on ps4 and enjoyed it but didn’t stick with it for very long. I really love the aesthetic of the 3ds MH games. Which one do you think I should try as a beginner?

@@supersambams 4 Ultimate is the best in 3DS so much improvement from 3U, and i also recomend Monster Hunter Stories is like pokemon but you catch and train the Monsters of this franchise, and the graphics are incredible for a 3DS.
