I'm a Bicolano and now staying in Makati, I'm from Naga City. My problem here in Makati is the price of the nyog. So expensive...we usually use 3 coconuts to cook for a single dish. We love a creamy, and oily dishes...hahaha

Very informative, when I visited a remote place in Mindanao, as a bikolano, I cooked kinunot because of abundance of pagi in that place, the natives ask for more....ubos lahat..
We have a farm in Bicol filled with coconut trees. I go there to drink coconut water and eat coconut meat. We will bring the rest to our house for buko salad and coconut milk purposes. You can’t beat fresh coconut, especially if it’s in the coastal area.
I miss a lot to my hometown..the foods..the people..the peaceful places..the relaxing natures..the smell of grasses and trees..see u soon..can't wait to go home after watching this video..thank you for featuring bicol..we proud of you Sir Erwan..keep it up!!
Also Pinangat, kinunot, bicol express, Laing, dinuguan, and a lot of dishes that we can enjoy in Bicol provinces. God bless you Sir Erwan and your team. Dios Mabalos po saindo gabos!
As a Bicolano, growing up, I thought gata is the default ingredient for all the vegetables because we eat with it everyday. Not until I worked in Manila where I usually get served disappointingly bland and uncreamy gata dishes so I resort to meat ones instead.
I was born in Naga and now reside in Manila. You made me realize how much I was missing the meals I used to eat. I wish that Filipino cuisine would be preserved and passed on to next generations. Thank you to your team for introducing authentic, traditional meals.
Once again..WELL DONE! I want to go to Bicol now when I return to the Philippines. Also, the blue pants with black socks...Erwan give that fashion as you eat your heart out. LOVE IT!
