Can we take a moment to appreciate the quality of this video. He could have done this whole video in 4 sentences. But no, he did a ton of research and made this almost 12 minutes. Hats off Arun!

That move will only ensure Huawei returns to where it came from - China. I used it for some time, two different models. Never again. Total waste of money.
I heavily use google map and WhatsApp, so huawei is not for me. At least until huawei can provide service on par with Google map, then i will consider using their os

No, the point is somewhere else. The question is - WHY is it happening? Why is samsung investing hudge amount of money to develp alternative apps like Calendar etc? Well, the reason is - money. They know G. is making huge amount of money on selling (G. claims "anonymized") data to advert. companies. And Samsung, Microsoft and other companies want to also take part of this cake.

GrapheneOS as recommended by Snowden only runs on Google Pixel and the Pixel 4a just came out and is about the same price as the Samsung a series. Cos of the currency exchange in Australia the Samsung a71 cost $750 Australian, same price as an iphone 11 in the USA, that's why I seem real poor compared to you guys. I can't afford an iphone 11! But actually I could.

Agree. The problem with wanting to engineer the greatest phone with the services available now is that the cooperation would stagger competition and future development.
You are right. It seems like a double-edged sword doesn’t it. When there’s competition the true winners are the consumers. But there’s no ecosystem that rivals Apple’s ecosystem and the one that comes closest is the Galaxy ecosystem. With each iteration of their phones, Samsung phones are becoming more ominous a suitable alternative as they expand their ecosystem.
Samsung+google barely able to even the market against apple/ios. Individually, they pose no threat to apple, though google stands a better chance than samsung. We saw how google nexuses and google pixels did in the competition against apple and ios over the years. Google still needs samsung's hand. More so now that apple has released more and more mid range iphones.

Not even knowing about all of this behind the scenes stuff, I've been thinking about switching from my Google Pixel 2 that I'm typing on to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 once it comes out later this year. Coincidental timing on my part, but I agree that Google needs actual competition.
"We are paying" probably considerably less with this competition going on. Each company trying to undercut the other, trying to make their services more desirable. I like using my Samsung phones and getting to choose what apps I use, especially around update season. Like Samsung Internet vs Google Chrome. I usually prefer Samsung Internet. And I like the formatting of the Microsoft suite over Google docs, but I prefer to upload them to Google Drive for cloud storage. So them competing just means better options for me.

I think this hatred calmed down a little bit, when i bought my s21u Google, Samsung and Microsoft apps were there, and It's up to the consumer to choose their default app I personally prefer using Samsung's things such as browser, clock, notes, calendar and ...etc. I find that they have more features and customizations.
It's always been PC brands vs PC brands vs Mac, it's been the same with Android brands vs Android brands but I think it's a great thing. I don't buy Apple products because you have pretty much zero choice.

I remember a couple of years ago, there was this Chromebook push that my University was doing, and almost everyone was paying like 50$ to not receive their free Chromebook.
I'm on a S10 dual sim international running lineage os 18.1 (stock android) + google apps, rooted, blacked out with AdAway installed, Viper4Android Audio Exynos. 8gb variant. Newer phones are just cameras with less features and more bloatware. If they built software how most people want it, I wouldn't have to root my phone. Running Stock on Samsung is a dream come true saving me hrs of modification. Thanks for the video Aaron. Hopefully they hear us.
No cos think about how good top of the line samsung hardware would be with the high quality gcam software and total integration into android as well as the clean and functional google pixel android. If Google and Samsung collaborated together we would have the best possible android phone.
Don't forget Huawei is not finished yet. It is developing mobile services and getting bigger and bigger. It's good to have more choices not monopolyzed.

You are right. It seems like a double-edged sword doesn’t it. When there’s competition the true winners are the consumers. But there’s no ecosystem that rivals Apple’s ecosystem and the one that comes closest is the Galaxy ecosystem. With each iteration of their phones, Samsung phones are becoming more ominous a suitable alternative as they expand their ecosystem.
Samsung+google barely able to even the market against apple/ios. Individually, they pose no threat to apple, though google stands a better chance than samsung. We saw how google nexuses and google pixels did in the competition against apple and ios over the years. Google still needs samsung's hand. More so now that apple has released more and more mid range iphones.

Not even knowing about all of this behind the scenes stuff, I've been thinking about switching from my Google Pixel 2 that I'm typing on to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 once it comes out later this year. Coincidental timing on my part, but I agree that Google needs actual competition.
"We are paying" probably considerably less with this competition going on. Each company trying to undercut the other, trying to make their services more desirable. I like using my Samsung phones and getting to choose what apps I use, especially around update season. Like Samsung Internet vs Google Chrome. I usually prefer Samsung Internet. And I like the formatting of the Microsoft suite over Google docs, but I prefer to upload them to Google Drive for cloud storage. So them competing just means better options for me.

That's the great thing about the Android open platform; competition between all the OEMs to make the best mobile device.
It's always been PC brands vs PC brands vs Mac, it's been the same with Android brands vs Android brands but I think it's a great thing. I don't buy Apple products because you have pretty much zero choice.

On top of that, the time that scroogle spends looking for new ways to mine user data, Samsung uses that time to build more innovative and useful features that won't appear in the pitifully-limited stock Android for 5+ years. Case in point; literally EVERYTHING "new" to the pitifully-limited stock Android 11 has been on my 2017 Note 8 with Android 7 right out of the box!
