Really good review im super interested in picking this game up eventually the gameplay looks so unique. Sorry i haven't been able to catch the streams recently too much going on irl. And sorry abour your dog, she looked gorgeous x.
Just watched your video now and hope u feel better now after the loss of your dog. I lost mine too when I was 14 years old it was the hardest for me. Now that it’s 6 months back I hope u feel better with it now, but the pain never really heals. Also a good video and review.
Appreciate that big time. It’s been half a year now, but still miss my dog like crazy. My life revolved greatly around my pup, but I have peace knowing she had a wonderful life. She also gave me a happy 9 years. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the kind words.
I actually never noticed the reload mechanic in Returnal till it was pointed out in this video...... it was one of the reasons outside of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Kena that made me want to get a PS5 (of course now they're on pc lol) I kinda want them to do a spinoff for Returnal that's more like a metroidvania, excellent review :)
Just looked that up! Looks sick. I might get that on steam. Steam sale starts today too, so hopefully I’ll get a deal. If you try out returnal, let us know what you thought!!!
I completed Returnal a few days ago it’s probably been my favourite game of this generation really glad PS are bringing games to PC. The music is good really recommend checking out it’s soundtrack. Nier Automata is the only other 3d bullet hell I’ve played.
One of my first Ps5 games it kicked my ass for months until I finally got past the second boss also beat the tower dlc 10/10 hands down one of my favorite games of all time
I just finished this on the PC and had a lot of fun. It's also absolutely gorgeous looking with raytracing and all those particle effects on a HDR monitor. Although mouse and keyboard definitely makes this game a hell of a lot easier than I assume it was on PS5. My first death during my very first run happened in Phase III of the White Shadow bossfight at the end of the third biom where I just didn't have enough firepower. My only point of criticism is probably that the "secret ending" was a bit of a letdown. Overall I'd rank this at 8,5/10.
The auto aim on controller was quite heavy lol. So wasn’t too bad aiming wise. That is wild you made it that far on your first death?! Glad you enjoyed the game 🔥🔥🔥
@@dualshooter2461 I own a DualSense controller but due to all the reports about the high degree of difficulty I decided to go for mouse and keyboard on my first playthrough and I think that was the right choice. When I feel the urge to replay it I'm going to test the controller. Also I think the game spawns easier enemies on your very first playthrough. Afterwards I died half a dozen times before even reaching the first boss because the game started spawning those bats that explode as they rush you. Took me a couple of hours to get used to that difficulty spike.
I had never heard of the Remnant before, so I just saw a review. Yes. It would appear in the sense of fast paced challenging combat definitely. Based of what I was seeing I would say Returnal is much harder and a bit more of a rogue like. A lot more at once on screen. There is coop in both, but I never did it in returnal.
awesome game, im lvl 99 patrol at PS5. i wish some new content but game is "finished" They should fix at least the 3rd boss fight with coop falling to the death. Anyway if u need some help on ps5 just let me know. Shalq_
I just wish it didnt have so many energy weapons. Energy weapons and unreal weapons im not too into but the game does look satisfying and im only into games which have satisfaction.😊 Games these days lack this
I think I understand on the satisfaction. Like the feedback of the weapons right?! Surprisingly a lot weapons are what I would describe as “crispy”. They feel very diverse and I would say the entire gameplay loop is very satisfying.
I’m playing Nier Automata as we speak. The way it might resemble Returnal is that currently I am going through my fifth consecutive replay of the main campaign which varies from a few to eight hours each run. Everytime you start the game again by the end you will have uncovered so much extra lore/weapons/new missions it will leave you astounded how the developers chose to hide all that unique awesome content behind a “multiple playthrough wall”. The proof that the game is awesome is that each playthrough is meaningfull and an absolute blast and fun. Also remarkable that you don’t get bored of it as so much remains to uncover. Would love to see your review of that game.
That’s fair! It can be hard to see progress when you start from the same area. I loved the concept, but I can see how it can be frustrating for sure. Sorry it wasn’t your cup of tea 😫

@@dualshooter2461 I love it so far. I was unsure because it might be too difficult but after beating Wukong I fell in love with games like this.

i cried watching the dedication to Sadie. Show me a mans dog and I can know the man. Such love, rest in peace Sadie. Love you two!
Thanks bro. She was a great dog and had a great life. She only how to do shake cause you taught her! 🩷
Im a huge stan for Risk of Rain 2. That game embodies "flow state" to me. Looks like I need to finally give this game a shot.

That is interesting. Nier is on my list to play, and didn’t realize it has shooter elements in it. That might be the next game I try.
@@dualshooter2461 Just beat Nier Automata last night (ending E) and it was one of the best media experiences I've had. Highly recommend it!

Amazing game. I only wish the PC port was better optimized. Really dampened my experience at times.
I hear a lot of these PC ports have some

Heck yeah! Best of luck! You got this.
I didn’t like this game initially… but holy cow I’m LOVING it now that it clicked
Right?! Once it hits, damn it’s good. The music and atmosphere carry it till that point, but’s it’s so fun.
Outerspace dark souls vibes when fighting bosses
I think you would like this one…it’s fun. Just hard 😅
hard to find good games on PS5 so im gonna check it out!@@dualshooter2461
They should add more to it or release a whole sequel
I would love a sequel. Hopefully one day!!

So I haven't picked up the Returnal yet. I just got a ps5 and I am debating if the psn plus is worth it. Returnal is in the games catalog.
this game reminds me of nier automata
