Mink DeVille played a "Zoo (Kzew) Free Sunday" show at the Electric Ballroom in Dallas, about 1976. We'd had never heard of them. This band totally blew us away. A GREAT show! A couple of the girls in our group went to the area immediately in front of the stage a began dancing. Within a minute or two a tough little girl approached them and told them to sit the F*** down. Came to find out later this Willy's girlfriend "Toots". The next time he played Dallas, he was opening for Elvis Costello. He lacked the charisma and energy we witnessed at the first show.
I imagine there were plenty of breaks "with drugs." But who cares? And at the end of the day we all face our own demons the best way we can. It's cool to see an old friend playing guitar with him too. Thanks for putting this up. And the song is pretty damn hip.
@@ingegassen-fuholler1368 Sure enough. How is Germany these days? I spent much time there between 1984 through 1997 when I lived in Holland half that time and played gigs with many Country Blues players there. I lived not far from the border but played alot with Richard Ray Farrell who lived near Stuttgart. And now I say to you Greetings from the Umpqua Valley here in Oregon. As I think of those sweet days in Germany.
Mink ist eine Rarität wie man es nur ganz wenig findet! Genialer Musiker and he left us way too early! Grüße aus Sydney

Bankable proof that three chords are all you'll ever need.

Latin Lou Reed!
No, no he's not Willy was a mix of ethnicities mostly Italian and French Canadian from Connecticut, Stamford exactly.
That’s what I thought when I heard his voice. I thought he was Lou Reed.
😍🤣💔💟
Hätte ab und zu Pausen einlegen müssen mit Drogen. Tja.
Er war trotz Drogen genial, dein Kommentar war überflüssig.
